German Newspaper exposes Klitschko's slave contracts

You're absolutely right. That's what everybody else is doing (All the Sauerland guys like Helenius, Pulev and Povetkin as well as Adamek/Arreola).

In other words that means that the next 24 months will be littered with mandatory defenses (without slave contracts) for Wlad or he gets stripped.

Out of his last 10 defenses he had 7 mandatories. Including Pianeta (or whatever nobody he faces next) these most recent 4 fights only had one mandatory (Thompson). I think the total balance will change more towards 50/50 mandatory vs. voluntary again over the next two years thanks to the lineup of #1 contenders waiting in line.

The lack of voluntary defenses for Wlad over the last 5 years is probably also the reason Bonte was pressing for this bum defense. Low risk for high financial reward.

Uhm yea, I don't know about the perfect angels, after all their professional athletes running a business while protecting their own interests.

But they definitely haven't pissed on the division at every chance. Between the brothers they had what like 100 fights, probably 1+ million in aggregate live gate and hundreds of millions of boxing fans tuning in worldwide to their fights over the years. You call this 'pissing on the division', I call it success :deal

A bit off topic, but I remember watching Wlad's Sam Peter fight, as well as Vitali being injured and it was uncertain he was coming back.

Both have been close to the edge at times.

For right at the moment they don't have a lot of time left as a tag team.

If Wlad does find a way to take a 4th belt, I hope he does, he is going to have mandatories coming at him left, right and centre. The contenders below him will have no excuse not to position themselves through meaningful wins.
