Punkass Cotto tried to gain advantage by making Margarito move down to 150 but when Margarito refused, he then tried to make the fight at 152 or some bull**** like that if i remember correct. Margarito still refused and Cotto reluctantly settled for 154..

It makes me laugh everytime people talk about how Cotto got " REVENGE "... hahaha What revenge?? Cotto fought scared and sure didnt seem like somebody who wanted a ****in revenge.. please

Cotto fought a one eyed-jack handicap and was on the verge of getting knocked out late again until Karma came along and saved his ass..

It was a BS DOCTOR STOPPAGE.. Cotto didnt stop ****..

 

And their first fight wasn't at 147? Margo wasn't the naturally bigger man? Margo got schooled, Cotto hit him with everything and the kitchen sink. Margo was already in danger of losing his vision, the Doc did the right thing by stopping it. Bottom line is Margo lost, after he got caught his career went down hill.

What do you mean went down hill? He lost to mosley had a suspension came back fought Garcia won there, moved on to fight the best P4P fighter fought through the entire fight with a busted Eye socked did not once pull a Kneeguel Cotto Sure he took a loss but to the best fighter in the world.

Then Kneeguel calls the man out for a rematch, wants revenge, states that it will be a New York Only venue or no fight, there will be a catch weight and Margarito will be forced to wear everlast brand gloves, of which wasnt quite enough for Miguel he also had to bring in Nazim to play some mind games, doesnt sound like a fighter who believes in himself or his corner.

anyhow the only reason he won was due to Miguel targeting that eye, even though Margarito answered the Drs correct every time they were in the corner, suddenly a round in which Miguel seemed to have hit a wall the Drs pull the plug on it, and I wouldnt exactly argue he dominated that fight was close I had miguel up by a round or two but dominated is an out right lie.

However your going to argue it was all down hill from that? :roll: Okay sir... Had that fight not been stopped Cotto would have quit again

 

Schooled him? a single point victory is not a schooling son.... also look at their connect %, Margarito is said to have zero defense

 

HBO defo did their best to "Taint" Margarito as best as they can in order to sell Cotto as being undefeated.

Williams & Margarito both might have the 2 single best wins out of the bunch of this WW/JMW era. Both have wins over "Maravilla".

 

Kellerman: Margaritos shots dont seem to have the same effect as they did in their first fight

True Boxing fans: What a bunch of ****ing idiots, this fight is at 154 gloves are 10 ounces as opposed to 8 ounces and Cotto insisted both use Everlast as opposed to Reyes.

I don't rate Margarito's win over Sergio that highly since it was 13 years ago, and Martinez has improved since then.

Whats funny is Pac offered a catch weight and Cotto said **** no, then turns around and demands one for a rematch with Margarito

I see you're point about the demands and all, but I honestly don't think it had anything to do with fear. Cotto fealt cheated and taken advantage of (wheather he was cheated or not it's how he fealt) and stated that he didn't even want give Margo the chance to make ANY money off him. So the fact that he forced all these demands is only a way of him saying EFF U Margo!! That's all. As far as Cotto getting winded late yes, but it was real late. Look at the first fight he got winded earlier even if Margo were allowed to continue he wouldn't be able to KO Cotto with the amount of time remaining. As for the stoppage the doctors were worried about the eye before the fight. It's a disgrace that Margo even got a license to fight with that eye. The doctors were careful about the eye cuz it would be there ass and the NYSA ass if anything were to happen to that eye seeing as how a lot of people didn't even think he should be allowed to fight. Also you are either Margo stan or a Cotto hater, cuz Cotto was a head by A LOT in that fight. You can say Margo was coming on, but to say he was in any way close on the score cards is crazy.

 

Not really when you look at the official cards each judge gave Margarito 1 round but they were different rounds. so that there is 3 rounds for Margarito one gave him the 4th another gave him the 7th and another gave him the tenth.
thats three rounds with three rounds left to go, I had given Mararito 4 rounds, to Miguels 5
when you have three judges giving up three different rounds like that and on top of that un official scorer Lederman gave Marg an entirely different round as well , obviously those rounds could have easily gone the other way.
I just believe HBO was at it again with their biased, as they were with Bradley Pacquiao, as they were with Marquez vs Pac 3 and as they do when ever their preferred fighter is in that ring
