He'll have had a fairly long layoff, coming off of surgery, is at an advanced age, and the guy he's fighting is on par with Felix Sturm. Not GGG but certainly not a bad matchup for a comeback fight. There's also a big difference in respect for the man who earned his title vs the man who was given his title. If Martinez goes on from this fight to fight someone else of this level, the hate should start flowing.

Martinez has just had a super fight, he is in his mid to late thirties and has just had surgery on his knee, given that he's a fighter who relies on speed of movement, he's quite right to take a voluntary defence.

Murray is ranked #7 by the ring, and his only blemish is a questionable draw with Felix Sturm, it's not that soft a touch. It's hardly Martinez vs Kerry Hope is it? atsch
