It just seems as though you're bagging him out for retiring, whatever the reason someone here gives, maybe it is because of his 2nd child? Yes he would have known it was coming, but have you had kids? can you honestly say that the emotion you feel when they are conceived rivals the emotion felt upon their birth? I respect Danny for all that he has achieved, he lost some and won some, and i respect him still for his decision, whatever the reason. Sorry to jump on you mate, i think it was a culmination of reading all these posts that sounded as though he was being put down, and i strongly object to that.

( sorry had to edit )

Good on him for doing what he thinks is right... from a fans point of view, the only good thing about it is Mundine won't fight him again and may actually go after someone he hasn't beat before.

Very weak, Danny wants to be able to say he retired as a World champ but in reality he was handed that belt on a plate . He needed to defend it a few times to call it his

im gonna miss him... i got no issues with him pulling out... for one reason or another his heart isnt in it and thats a good enough reason to quit immediatley. he won a title and finished with it in hand. He has a great story and i hope he has a great future and enjoys being a dad full time.

Really unexpected but good for him. If his heart was not in it anymore, he better retire.

:cheers To Danny Green, a true warrior.

Damn. I've just been reading some of the derogatory comments made by some posters about DG's heart.

How many of you clowns ever got in the ring for a real fight ? YOU DON'T go through a boxing match if you finally realise that your heart is not in it anymore. This is boxing, not ping-pong.

WTF do war vets have to do with DG Doing it for Australia:patsch
He represented us at the K.L commenwealth games and in Sydney at the olympic games:deal.
He always represented Australia with pride and redneck homo's like yourself shouldn't even mention the word war vets to think that guy's fought for this country and died for the likes of you is sickning:dead
You should of been in the navy being the ass bandit that you are iam sure you would of loved it.
