Good advice. I mostly ignore him anyway.

Selbys performance was good but he really needs to work on the Defence and he could go far. His whole persona is quite entertaining and would do well stateside ...but he needs a shave though !

His defence would be a real issue as the competition levels step up.

We all know thats bull****, whenever I mention Ricky Burns or Billy Nelson in the same sentence, you are all over it spitting your dummy out like a crying baby.

    Every single time. Without doubt.

    I prove you wrong.

You keep coming. Like a fish biting on my hook.

Come to think of it, are you Ricky Burns in disguise, or are you even Billy Nelson?

    :hey:hey:hey

    He reminds me of Broner.

Huge at the weight, easy enough to hit, likes to go to the body, cocky as hell

I like him. He looks more Mexican than he does Welsh tho :huh

He's managed by the Sanigars out of the West Country and they've kept him under the radar in small hall boxing for long enough now. He's gone pretty much unnoticed in Wales and has barely merited a mention in any of the local press even after this weekend. When you see the following Frampton has generated after the same number of fights there in his homeland then flying under the radar is an understatment with the ability Selby's got.

Which means you are looking forward to seeing his next fight either way then.

Obviously we have a lot of people that suffer from knee jerk reactions on here and maybe some got carried away with the Smith and Simpson KO's but I can't say I noticed the overrating of his power as too prevalent.

They were pretty spectacular knockouts that wouldn't have been anticipated by many, and they were one punch too. So obviously he's got power but you don't go from barely knocking anybody out to becoming a dynamite puncher. More a case of him being one of the most rapidly improving fighters in British boxing and he can hit.

It was nice to see his defence tested repeatedly but he remains too big, too rangey, too fast, too strong and ultimately too powerful for this weight or this level. Onwards and upwards but he would do well to improve on his skills because I don't expect elite fighters to let him take advantage like he currently does.

If he wants the Lonsdale outright i like to see him fight the only guy whos beat him, Samir Mouneimne, Samir is 11 unbeaten at the moment.

Id give the lad a chance, after all who else in Britain would want to fight Selby, that has a realistic chance of beating him.

i think their are plenty of fighters who wud take the fight and believe in themselves they cud win. saw on fb english champ josh warrington say he wud take the fight, on twitter smith said he'd love a rematch and im sure other lads wud fancy it to. personaly i think he sud look at revenge for his loss to samir (which id expect selby to win) then move on.

I thought he was going to get him out of there after the 2nd round. The bodyshots were killing him. Seemed too happy to coast and tried looking good. Should've shown a bit of nastiness.

Selby and Linsday were impressive but Selby just took over.

He looked HUGE from ringside on saturday, a couple of divisions above feather.

    His power was also obvious

paul smith tweeted something along the lines that sebly looked ill at the weighin and predicted lindsey win. selby must really struggle to make the weight he looked massive like a solid lightweight on the night and very powerful to the body. lindsey took the head shots well was only in trouble in the 10th i think it was on the bell.
