British Forum BETTING thread

Just had to phone my bank there as they sent me a letter regarding "unusual activity" on my account. They also put a block on my card which has stopped me depositing money into my betting accounts. ***** on the phone said she wanted to confirm some of the recent transactions that were blocked. These included sizeable attempted deposits to Skybet, BetVictor, Bet365 and Ladbrokes. Made me feel like some sort of lowlife degenerate addict. Worst of it is, this nonsense cost me money as i wanted to bet very big (for me) on Billy Davies to get the Forest job. I was only able to use money that i had in my paypal account, which was about 1/4 of what i probably would have put on.

I had Nigeria on to win. Didn't watch the game but the live text on BBC made it sound like they were hanging on.

But I was watching the match and maybe I was paranoid but nigeria looked as if they were actually trying not to score another goal! two great chances one moses looked to slow down and then with pretty much a 1 on 1 with the keeper decided to make a ridiculous pass and the other one on one with the keeper the player randomly fell to the floor, it was a bit bizzarre and I got paranoid. I fell asleep for the last five minutes and my mate woke me up and told me it finished 1-1, I said I ****ing knew it and went back to sleep thinking Id lost.

I had a pretty lucky weekend, paddypower gave me a 1 quid free bet and I had a treble on the rugby at 7/1 then put the 8 on nigeria win @ evens so I got 16 back from a free quid. I know this wouldn't have happened if it was my own cash ha.

 

Who do you lads reckon will be the next Pope? I'm considering putting a few quid on Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana at 10/3.

Might back Celtic/Draw at Evens on 365. Wouldn't be surprised if Juve win but we have a good home record in Europe. Might double that with Leicester to beat Huddersfield at home. Haven't been betting on football recently, the Nigeria game on Sunday was the first football bet i'd placed in a few months.
