He lost against Ricardo Cordoba. The only decent fighter he's fought. He was running away from Cordoba.

 

His defence and inside game is actually nothing special. He's not a bum by any means but he's fairly overrated. His balance is atrocious and gets tagged fairly easily. Cordoba was landing at will on the inside.

Being a good amatuer doesn't mean anything in the pros. He has tons of holes in his defense, his chin is shaky, and the only good fighter he fought was Ricardo Cordoba who he won a split decision over.

Donaire is a much much better fighter. All of Donaire's previous fights he fought would give Rigondeaux trouble.

 

Yes he does. Watch the Ramos fight. Watch the Cordoba fight. And watch many of his other fights. His balance is not that good and he gets tagged.

Cordoba was taking him to school on the inside and Rigondeaux was getting tagged easily.
