Pulled out of his fight and has retired. No reason given yet.

    He'll be missed.

    It is the right move.
He lost four fights in less than two years and took some major beatings on the way.

He really needed to retire. A warrior he was.

I hope this is true and I hope he sticks to it. Makes me happy to hear this and I hope hes able to enjoy retirement and live a fulfilling life outside the ring. He is a pure warrior and has always given the fans what they have come to see, given parts of himself to the sport and it was time for him to exit with his head held high. Was a pure warrior.

After than Mensah ass whooping I'm glad he is calling it a career. He looked down right horrible in that fight and I'm not sure if he stopped quick enough to not have life long damage.

    Cheers Mick.

For the best. He was never the same after Stathi died.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Just look at his sharpness from the Mitchell fight, the energy he had in the Marquez fight, and then his lackluster performance against Guerrero. It was downhill ever since.

He's given us some great fights, I hope he retires happy.

Besides, guys like Katsidis and Duddy, with their styles, need to not overstay much beyond their prime in this sport. It's always great to see them make the decision on their own to bow out at the right time, and stick with it (against their warrior instincts) for the sake of their health.

They need the proper sort of people around them, telling them the proper sort of thing...not enablers. Not "you can do it!!", but "you did it, proud of you, nothing more to prove mate..."
