Honest question here, has anyone in the sport tried as hard as haye to get a fight?
Whether he deserves it or not.

Well who knows what comes out of this. In the best case (IMO) we'd get Vitali vs. Haye and both outcomes are great. If Vitali wins then he can retire on a solid win vs. a top 5 opponent while generating one of his career's best paydays. If Haye somehow manages to pull of the miracle upset then we will most likely see a huge HW unification fight and rematch between Wlad and Haye.

What better way for Wlad to get the WBC belt? Let's be honest, if Vitali just retires and we have the likes of Arreola/Stiverne and Don King wrangling for the WBC belt then Wlad can forget about ever unifying it.

WBC dont allow for unifications so Wlad will never fight for it. He's not even ranked by the WBC.

If I was him, I'd retire. The division is pants and it's not worth him sticking around beyond the point where he can no longer fight the way he used to. His showing against Chisora confirmed it for me. He's not the monster he once was.

But, seeing as though I'm not him and I'm a boxing fan, I of course would love to see the Haye fight :good

Then how did Haye become the WBC/WBA/WBO champion at CW? How did Lewis become the WBC/WBA/IBF HW champ? How did Tyson become the WBA/WBC/IBF HW champ?

    :huh

And of course Wlad isn't ranked with the WBC. Neither was Holyfield when he fought with Lewis for the WBC/WBA/IBF unification. Belt holders are never ranked with competing sanctioning organizations.

This was only a recent decision.

The WBC recently ruled against unified champions

The ruling was if you do fight a WBC champion in a unification fight & win you have a choice, you can either a) be the WBC champion & vacate all the other belts or b) keep all the other belts & vacate the WBC

But, its the WBC so they can & will change their rules whenever they feel like it, for instance, Danny Garcia is the WBC champ & the WBA Super champ.

There has never been a WBC decision categorically blocking unification fights. They just said they may strip you after unifying. That's how I understood it. Doesn't stop the unification fight from happening.

Either way, Wlad vs. Haye would be a huge fight if Haye won against Vitali.

Wlad could have to go to the US to fight for the WBC and they wont do that because they will most likely have their crazy demands rejected.
Type -"chris meyer klitschko" into google for all you need to know on the matter.

No it doesnt, Danny Garcia is a current example of a unified WBC/WBA champion

The WBC can strip a title after a unification fight but it doesnt & hasnt stopped them sanctioning them.

He has to chose to drop a belt. He was unified before the decision was made.
