He'll do well to pull the trigger fast enough to land flush. Machida is no Bisping, he won't circle straight into it. And he has a pretty decent beard too. :smoke

I think hendo bangs him out if not ud. don't see why machida is favourite, hendo may be old but even recently he's been beating better guys than machida has

one has to wonder when the old man is gonna break. As a fan i'm worried about his clock honestly. If he does take the L i just hope he doesn't get stopped.

Fought a bunch of top guys for years, and has been stopped once in his career. By a legend who has 18 out of 21 wins come by knockout.

Aside from Rua 2, I don't think I've seen Machida badly hurt by strikes in a fight. Jon Jones had him hurt after a bunch of vicious elbows from top control, but it was a choke that put him out. Machida's chin is solid. Getting knocked out once in your career in one of Shogun's signature wins doesn't mean he has a bad chin. Machida can take a punch, and more than that, he has the skills and the style to make it hard for 42 year old Hendo to catch him clean. :nono

My thought exactly.... The thing about Hendo is, my man has got a very dangerous, very smart fighter.

    #ing A'.

I believe Michael Bisping fought scared, and was damn near run out the cage in that opening round . It was a learning experience, but I'm surprised he got up from that bomb and that goodnight right... I tell you, he looked like The Macho Man flying through the air with that punch.

Me too, I hate seeing the old fighters lose... If him and Hopkins were to ever be punched out, I will be very sad.

I got nothing against Machida, but I rather him be punched out than Hendo!

MM, I think it's either Machida, very wide and dominant UD, or KO Hendo.

Machida is really illusive, Henderson needs to set and fake a takedown to throw that right hand of his.. Not that he can't time Machida, it's just not an easy thing to do.

I hate to pick against Dan but he's up against the young lion in this one. I think Machida catches him with something and puts him out.

My gut is a Machida KO, similar to how he KO Bader.

Yep, Hendo's been hit with some of the biggest stuff in MMA, just keeps on moving forward.

But, his endurance is pretty trashy. If Machida could get him mounted late in the fight, he could get a stoppage given his endurance and ability to finish hurt, or maybe tired guys.

Machida UD is the safe bet, followed by a huge Hendo KO, followed by a Machida TKO as a fast shot that hurts an aging Hendo with a huge follow up of fast shots could call it a night.

Machida UD would be my guess. I don't think Machida pushes a pace high enough to gas Hendo in a three round fight, so Hendo will be dangerous until the end. Remember how much trouble Hendo gave Shogun in the third round of their fight? That was after two rounds of war.
