I think it's a good idea myself. Mayweather is a natural 147 pounder and Canelo is simply too big.

A 150 fight would be fair for both parties.

    Scene it.

Also stated that Guerrero should be May 4th, Sept Canelo.

Welp Canelo won his title at a catchweight didn't he?

I'd rather see it at 154 or nothing. Canelo is already inexperienced, another disadvantage makes this pointless.

catchweights are fine, your just running the risk of diminishing your achievement.

Manny doesnt get all the credit for Cotto. Ward for Dawson (dragging him down to his weight) etc.

Both these could have beat them at the full weight, but by putting in catchweights your diminishing your achievement.

That aside Floyd has made such acarry on about fighting at full weigh classes, and wanting to fight the best versions of fighters he'd be a hypocrite if he did this.

A 150 lb catchweight would kill Canelo cause he would have to get down to 149.5 just to make sure he can make the weight.

Its 4 and a half pounds, he can do it.

I really think its detrimental to Floyd's body if he keeps fighting at 154. 150 is FINE.

It's a fair catchweight for both fighters.

His age will allow him to make the weight easily, and no it wouldnt be a disadvantage its not like he is asking Canelo to move down to welter.

Though the way I see it, once a fighter signs and agrees to a catch weight all excuses are out the window

Wasn't Mayweather "TOO BIG" when he fought Marquez?

Yup thats why they agreed to a catch weight then Floyd turned around and decided not to honor that contract

Explain please. From what I know, several days before the fight, the contract was CHANGED by Mayweather/Marquez to allow the weigh to go up as high as 147

So how exactly did he not honor it?

There's a reason why Marquez didn't get a penny for Mayweather being at 146 at the weigh in.
