Oscar, he HAD to take the fight at that weight because Oscar was the main draw and Floyd wanted to be a star. Floyd realized the dangers of this and the damage it could do to his body

Floyd will be 36, he shouldn't have to fight at 154 anymore. It's too much

    150 is a good weight

Same as what Pacquiao did to Margo and Pac gets full credit for that.

A 154 title should be fought at 154. Mayweather will outbox him at either weight so it really doesn't matter.

It SHOULD be fought at 154 but at times, exceptions should and can be made.

150 is a good weight for this bout, no matter how much of a turn off it may seem to fans.

Canelo can make the weight so easy because he's so young, Mayweather will be 36 by Sept.

And can't fight at 154 for any longer (He's a natural 147). It's so bad for his body.

If it's for a title it should be at 154 lbs, Floyd Mayweather has fought and won World titles at 154 lbs anyway so weight isn't a good excuse.

Mayweather is getting older, and was just out of prison (Probably took something out of him).

And is a natural 147 pounder.

Even on the night vs Cotto, May said he was only 147. He can't keep doing that.

It's so bad for his health.

It's such a shame now that boxing fans want somebody permanently hurt because of entertainment purposes. He's a 147 pounder.

The fact that he's fighting Canelo should be applauded. As long as Canelo isn't dragged down to 47, it should be fine. 150 is good. Half way (Not exactly but you know what I mean).

    150-151 is nice.

    Actually he didn't.

Later it was said that the contract had been changed days prior to the fight with the consent of BOTH parties, Marquez didn't make anything.

Contract change (Like I said before)- The weight limit could go up as high as the welterweight limit at the weigh in.

So the hole.. county jail.. prison.

    Stop being so technical.

I don't care if it's county jail or ALCATRAZ. It's still prison.

You're stripped of your freedom in a cell/confined room. Therefore, it's prison

Keith Kizer forced Floyd to pay 600k research it
They re negotiated Floyd would have ended up paying Marquez 1 million

I would say still make the fight but without a 154 lbs title on the line. Or if Floyd Mayweather can't fight at 154 lbs stay at 147 lbs were he feels comfortable.

What absolute crap!!! The agreed weight was 144!!! What happened was the night before the weigh in Floyd had his advisors draw up an agreement for Marquez to sign that the new agreed weight was 146 but with a financial penalty. Reason being so Floyd could avoid paying a fine to the Nevada state commission. Marquez received the agreed penalty

So paint it anyway you want! The agreed weight was 144! Schaefer has confirmed this numerous times in the lead up to the fight

    You Floyd fans are hilarious

As for catch weights it seems to be acceptable now for Mayweather but only not allowed for Pacquiao who is naturally too big as it is lol

A catch weight of 150, a weight which suits Floyd down to the ground as he is a pretty big welterweight as it is, makes this fight another huge joke

He should make the fight at 150 then show up at 154 just like PBF did to JMM.

PBF cant afford to be missing on paydays as we all know Uncle Sam does not like PBF and more than likely he is not paying his taxes like usual.
