Godbless this warrior. Sometimes he should of been protected from himself. Love this fella's graft. I remember his interview after beating Mitchell and it was brilliant. So happy i was there to see his big win.

I cleaned up at the bookies that night, Mitchell was the betting favourite as well.

2/1 on the stoppage was like printing money!

That was incredible on his part, his post fight interview actually moved me to tears.
What a fighter he was, literally. I wish him all the best.

I can remember speaking to him a few years ago about a possible fight with khan, an absolute gent and all round nice guy, thanks for always giving it 100% and giving us plenty of thrillers, cheers michael! :)

Top entertainment with Katsidis. I'm pleased I got to see him fight live. The Graham Earl fight was a top drawer slugfest!

A friend of mine watched him training, said they had never seen anything like it. That was from a professional athlete.
God bless Michael, and as many have already said, the courage and dignity with which he handled his brothers death was tearjerking.
I hope the man has invested wisely and is set for life.

I'm sorry to see him retire, he's given us some of the classics of the last few years, vs Casamayor, vs Marquez, and his brilliant war with Graham Earl. Unfortunately a guy who fights like that wasn't going to last long, I hope he's retiring as a pre-caution and it's not something really serious.
