good to read a well though out post - not a Poochiao in sight :)
You make good points regarding the May 5th date, I'm not someone who sticks to an idea without keeping an open mind.

What I will say is your argument there is based on comparing the Floyd who fought DLH (who couldn't get any PPV action) to the Pacquiao now which is completely out of sync...and that's MY point. Pacquiao is a HUGE star as well, both have to compromise. It's not like when Floyd fought DLH - DLH was by FAR the bigger star. So yes, understood why he picked May 5th but he cannot dictate to Pacquiao the way DLH dictated to him. And it's clear that the one most willing to back down after a bit of posturing is Pacquiao. What Mayweather does is continually move the goal posts...

Regarding the argument of Pacquiao turned down $40m to $20m don't you see the exact same logic applies to Mayweather. In a 55-45 fight, he could make $80m no problem and that's conservative - he chooses instead to make $40m fighting Ortiz, or Cotto, etc - so this argument doesn't work either as it applies to FLoyd as much as Pacquiao - the way Pacquiao sees it is that he is a huge part of this fight in terms of PPV, and therefore should get a big slice of the pie. Floyd's number may be a bit better, but they're marginally better when you take into account the oppoenents who have helped Floyd achieve good PPV numbers

Let's see what Floyd does against Guerrero or Alexander...

Let's not start about the random testing - Mayweather only brought up random testing with regard to Pacquiao. He then went on his "clean up the sport" rampage AFTER that. It was a way of unsettling him - Mayweather is no saint, do not think this guy is squeaky clean. There are more questionsin this whole testing thing than meets the eye and it's not all on Pacquiao's side. This is a moot point anyway - the testing was all agreed 2-3 years ago and yet the fight still isn't happening. Strange that...

How is Floyd going to make 80 million. That's literally impossible. Hell Mayweather/DLH only had like 70 million BETWEEN them.

It makes sense, but what professional athlete is not on something? Lets start there and then we can have a conversation.

    :patsch

I honestly believe with all my heart that Floyd could even beat Martinez @ 160, nevermind 154!

Martinez just doesn't draw flies to ****, maybe that's why Floyd won't fight him.

    The rest... are you crazy

Triangle theories man. They don't work in boxing! :dead:dead

Martinez had troubles with Paul Williams/Kelly/Macklin/Jr 12/Margarito. Who cares!

Martinez would lose to Floyd at 160.

How can you give so much praise when he wont fight the best? Imagine if Keith thurman hit Floyd like cotto hit him it would be game over sorry but that's the truth.

Like I always say, who has he ducked? 2006, he fought the lineal WW while Margo was a can.

    Baldomir was the better choice

Pac refused Floyd every time, fact

Martinez is a middleweight but I'm sure Floyd can still beat him

Floyd retired due to a body injury in 2008/early 2009

Cotto wasn't even a duck, Floyd fought him. During 2007, Floyd fought Hatton (Who was rated higher P4P, Oscar who was the way better fight (154)
