Mayweather has never taken on a number 1 fighter in the last 8 years

  1. Who do you honestly think can beat Mayweather right now? Do you honestly think that if he had fought these people at different times, he would have lost? No one is denying the fact that floyd is a dispicable cherry picker but he would have beat everyone he has already beaten at any time that he chose to fight them.

Are you a ******?? Or just playing stupid?? Seriously,Margarito was the most avoided man at welterweight for years and had a belt. He ducked prime cotto, margarito, Williams and even Forrest would have beat his coward ass. Please be a man first then then a fan second if not your a hoe!

No but by *****'s maybe. He beat nobody with a good resume at LMW and there were a few better than him such as Canelo, Trout, Williams, Lara etc. Cotto had certainly done nothing at LMW to seperate himself from those fighters and in his last fight at WW he was trashed by Pacquiao.
I honestly think in 09 Pac would have beaten Mayweather, Cotto is a hard one to call but I think Mayweather would have won with an even closer decision but the fact is the fight happend 4 years after it should have. But there are all the guys he didn't fight, Pacquiauo, Margarito, Williams etc and Mayweather fans just use the hypothetical argument to just write all this off.

Also if Mayweather fought Marquez now, I think he'd still win but it'd be a much more difficult fight.

Baldomir was #1 at welterweight in 2006, I know a lot hate this idea but yes you bet your worthless ass he was.

Mosley was officially the #1 welterweight in 2010.

Was there anyone rated above Cotto at Junior Middleweight when he fought him?

    I'm not sure that's true.

Baldomir was the # 1 ww
    Oscar was arguably #1 lmw
    Hatton was #1 lww
    Marquez was #1 lw
    Mosley was #1 ww
    Cotto was arguably #1 lmw.

I'm not gonna give an opinion on the pros and cons of each victory, I'm just addressing the thread title.

Mosely was 39 and had been inactive for a year so yeah, he wasn't ****. As for Cotto WHO DID HE BEAT AT LIGHT MIDDLE WEIGHT??? In his next fight he got beaten if anything a lot more convincingly by Trout than he did by Mayweather so obviously Cotto wasn't the number 1 guy buy Mayweather fans like that lie.

Why the hell does Floyd have to take on the contender when he's beaten the actual champs

You must be a cabdriver or related to one in Tijuana, if not then you must be an abomination of nature. I can't think of anyone normal that would bring up the proven cheating scumbag. That said, did you know that by the time Concreto started barking about Mayweather his biggest win to date was Andrew "Six Heads Zero Chins" Lewis?

I know you're trying hard to hate on Floyd, but this is just lazy. Try better next time and do some research first

Forgot to add Oscar on my list. Yes he was the #1 Junior Middleweight at the time.

Mosley was 38 and P4P Top 3 and the champ at the weight. Sorry, but he was the guy to beat at welterweight in '09.

    Even Pacquiao didn't want it.
