I wanted him to fight Braemher ages ago but going by how Jurgen looked recently he's a shadow of his former self IMO.
He's been to the nick and I don't think he has the dedication required these days.I reckon he likes a night out.
Shame.Thought he looked quite good when he first got out and came back.

And people wonder why we all take the **** out of this bloke? Has to be the least-ambitious fighter in the sport. Cleverly should just pack it in and follow his true calling in life, being a maths teacher.

What are people wanting Cleverly to do? Other belt holders don't want to know and he has been forced into 2 mandatories. Clev has already took the '0' off 2 of the rings top 10 fighters at 175.

When the time comes and he has cornered the other cowardly 175 belt holders, he will clean out the frauds at 175 with consumate ease.

What I really want to see Cleverly do is ditch the hairband, it makes him look like a rat faced woman, then just possibly he could fight somebody with a pulse and not claim to be a ''world champion'' ripping off fans with **** defences expecting them to pay money.

    Just a thought?

There is absolutely sod all wrong with what Nathan says in that article. The haters will twist his comments to suit their own attack.

Nathan will fight anybody. He's just playing down the disappointment of back-to-back mandatories.

Surely Jurgen the German is a very good fight.

He has took the 0 off 2 of the rings top 10, whilst being ducked by the other beltholders and has been forced into 2 mandatories. Whats hard to understand about that homo?

If you want to look at laughable title reigns, go and check out James Toneys 10 fight run when IBF 168 champ.

I don't care about the article but the fact is the only wins of any note on his record are against Murat and Bellew, the Bellew one could have gone either way in some peoples opinions. Karpency and Hawk were not even top 30 fighters, it's a insane that he thinks it's just ok to fight over matched opponents brought there to make you look good when there are fans paying for tickets and BoxNation subscriptions.

By the time these big fights come around no one will care any more will only tune in to watch him lose because he'll be considered a protected paper champion if he doesn't prove himself against better opponents.

He's had 25 fights now and should be aiming a lot higher than he is, if he just stayed humble and mopped up his easy defences people wouldn't mind but he seems very arrogant and over confident in his abilities then goes on to tell us that he won't be fighting anyone decent any time soon as we "don't understand" enough about boxing to realise why he picks weak opponents to fight!

Nathan Cleverly is seriously underrated. He is one of the UKs biggest talents. Everyone should be supporting him.

I hope Braemer knocks the **** in to the next century, what a shitty year we have in store from Cleverly AGAIN someone just strip the ducking time waster so that the title can go to someone with a set of balls.

QUACK QUACK QUACK **** OFF NATHAN.

Seriously the dude should just retire i don't give a **** if he's 25 fact is he's a world champion and other fighters at a similar age fought elite level competition as it is he's been in **** all interesting fights and may as well just pull down his pants and **** all over that meaningless trinket he has called the WBO "championship".

WHAT A ****ING JOKE, (rant over). :fire:twisted:

Seriously i think he has potential and i respect everyone who gets into a boxing ring but i can't respect nor take him seriously as a "champion" until he fights people in his division that are "championship" quality fighters. :patsch:-(

Spencer Fearon got it right about Cleverly, he could be a superstar in waiting. He's handsome, smart and talented. That's undeniable. His personality though is like that of a ******ed kid and the lines him, his dad and his promoter come out with are completely surreal.

He could become a big star and respected fighter if he really wanted it that's what is so frustrating the way his career's going. Fighting bum after bum and appearing happy with it whilst all the time chatting about unification fights. Not all people may like blokes like Bellew, Brook and Burns but at least they show ambition and want to fight the best even if you think they couldn't win any of those fights. Cleverly though, if he was told to fight some bloke from the bus stop for half a Subway sandwich he'd do it. FW is ruining this kid and I'm quickly losing any hope that Nathan one day wakes up and realises it.
