Mayweather has built his career on careful matchmaking. You can split the hairs how you like, but the fact is that Mayweather is and forever will be remembered for not making the biggest fights.

If only Pacquiao took those tests instead of hiding his juiced up body from Usada

Why didn't Pacquiao take those tests? or accept the 40?

He avoided May like the plague. Fact

    And now he's garbage.

Are we basing these number 1 on actually rankings or who you deem to be the number 1?

Yeah but Margarito actually got in there and fought Williams, he didn't duck it or retire he got in there and took the fight. If you are going to say Baldomir was number one it's like claiming that Shannon Briggs was once the man at HW after he beat Foreman, we all know he wasn't. Same with Mosely, if Calzaghe came back now would he be the man at SMW? no course he wouldn't same as Mosely was obviously not as good as Pac in 2010

Wrong. All boxers are carefully matched, you fool. And usually is made bc it generates the most money.

    Somethings to point out.

Hatton at 140 OPENLY declined the fight, stating they weren't ready.

Zoo fought for Showtime. Floyd for HBO.

Margarito was offered to take the place of Judah, instead declined and stuck to the Gomez PPV on Top Rank.

That's rubbish imo. Look at Pac, on paper he had two wins over Marquez (I thought he won one and lost twice) it was clearly a very difficult fight that he didn't have to take but he took it, he took Barrera on two weeks notice the first time, he fought a prime Morales, a prime Marquez at his natural weight, fought ODLH when everybody was saying he'd get murdered. Look at his fights, he's always fought much tougher people than Mayweather has that's just a fact.
Maywaether has a **** resume for how highly he's ranked and if you look at it closer he took all those fights at the right time.

    Absoulute bollex.

the Tysu fight could have been made. Mayweather did not wait around at 140 and Hatton never ducked him either. Mayweather could still make 140lb as well but waited until Hatton looked very beatable vs. Collazo before he started taking interest. Hatton was calling him out a lot.

  10. iceferg you're knowledge on boxing is so embarassing, you think you've made a legit point but have been laughed at you must fold now or you will look like more of a tool than you already do.

You cant argue that since 2007 in the last six years Floyd has taken 6 world titles, Six of them, Now the only thing you can argue is he has never faced a mandatory which is true.
But other than that you cant say he hasnt faced the #1 rated fighter not when he is facing world champions and beating them

It's absolutely the truth. Margarito was offered a fight to replace Judah and turned it down.

Mayweather moved up because he had 0 fights at 140.

Hatton OPENLY declined the fight. How can you say he didn't duck him?:lol:

I had a feeling this guy is a pacturd and looks i'm right. :rofl

Idiot going to create a thread about Floyd's choice of opponents not being number 1 and praises Pac. Pac is well known to fight guys coming off losses, and seek out advantages.

    What a loser.
