Although no one likes PPV we are in a far, far better position than the US (up to 35 quid) or Oz (25 quid for SBW-Botha!!!). Even more so now SKY is raising the bar for PPV i.e. no shitty fights like Haye-Audley or Khan-McCloskey

It will depend on 2 things, firstly the undercard, if its poor I won't pay and secondly the announcement of any Prizefighters, if I get the slightest whiff of that abomination in the build up, I wont pay a penny.

I'd hardly say Froch-Kessler II is raising the bar!

Unless your well of and have the money to throw about. When your spending £100+ A MONTH for digital television HD and what not, to be forced to pay another £15 quid as that subscriber, is a laughing stock! The sub is extortionate as it is, forget the £15, just sit back and process just how much money some people are paying a month, then a whole year, and ask, should these people be paying another £15?

Its called taking the ****, and they are taking it to new levels!

Anybody who forks that out after paying that sort of money out a month, is a :tired

Its not about being petty or a tight *******, its called not being a f*cking zombie.

Before we go down this tedious road, what is so unique about Froch Kessler II that makes it raise the bar above other PPVs?

    Is it the unannounced undercard?

That its a competative and fan freindly fight between two world level fighters, unlike the majority of the PPV's we saw in previous years.

When Froch vs Kessler is made, there not big enough names, when Haye vs Audley is made its not a good enough fight. In your world no fight is PPV worthy.

Your standards are very low, Rob. So simply by not being a complete mismatch, it's a PPV-worthy fight?

Therein lies my point that this isn't raising a bar. Raising a bar would be this, Frampton-Quigg, Barker-Macklin, and another couple of solid domestic ties.

Bingo! When your customers pay you £50 a month, it's shameful to expect more.

    Fights that are PPV-worthy: Haye-Wlad, Hatton-Pacquiao

These are legitimate stars in their countries who make money whoever they fight. The fights were for supremacy over their respective divisions. You can also include Mayweather-Hatton, since it was the world's best 140lb fighter facing the world's best 147lb fighter.

Important, significant fights featuring significant, star fighters in their primes.

But I disagree with PPV in principle, I've never denied that. Froch-Kessler just isn't.

Pay per view is the perfect platform for the protesters to use to register their protest. By not ****ing buying it! the numbers will determine if ppv was justified or not won't they. whatever a few people on the internet think

Just like sky sports. "Ooh it costs me so much every month so I can watch all the **** they peddle and rewind and watch it in the bath and everything"

Here's an idea, don't ****ing buy it! I feel for the victim who pays nearly £100 per month to have sky?? cancel your subscriptions and get out for some fresh air in the real world mate! you might even like it...

I'm going down to London for it but if I wasn't I would unhappily pay up. Its a big fight so no way id miss it. I have always hated ppv on sky, those who subscribe to sports should at very least get a discount. Its all wrong but unfortunately they can and will just do as they please.

I don't fork out that money for Sky Television. But millions of people do, and its 99% zombies :tired who do what they are told, when they are told to do it, and pay through the nose automatically, without any real push. The product sells itself to the :tired population.

If you are reading this and you do pay that sort of money out every month AND your going to pay for the fight as well, then find the nearest mirror and look at it for a while whist sticking two fingers up at theself.

I bet Hearn is sweating on how Man Utd and Arsenal fair in the champions league. If one (or both) get to the final then they will use that as the bulk of their undercard and will obviously attract more casual fans as more people will be watching, and will switch over when the footy finsihes. If it was something like Barca V PSG in the final, a lot will still watch, but would have the be much more interested in the boxing, and the undercard will need to be strong.

Needless to say, i hope both get knocked out early so they have plenty of time to put something decent together

ManU getting beaten meaning a better undercard is a win/ win proposition if ever I heard one!
