i think its because zab's asthetically pleasing to watch. he has a good blend of speed and power and a cool style. he'll fight anyone win or lose which also gives him some appeal.

New Yorkers always massively overhype their own. They're the Brits of the US.

Does he really still have a strong fanbase? These days I barely see any guys who consistently support him.

The first time I saw him fight I was impressed. (I believe it was the Mayweather fight.) He looked even faster than Mayweather, and his punches looked very sharp at points. I thought he had good form too -- nice straight shots and compact hooks, and he seemed agile. His style had a pleasing kind of flash to it.

Over time I came to realise how misleading his style could be, though. He's a very good example of how boxing is about many different factors rather than just a few obvious ones like speed and power. You also need timing, ring intelligence, physical and mental toughness, stamina, composure, etc. That's why Mayweather is so good -- he's very well-rounded. Even Pac, who many like to criticise, didn't just achieve his fame because of his speed and power. It was also his heart, stamina, workrate, timing, combination punching, physical toughness and so on.

Been robbed so many times in his career!

That bogus Tszyu "knockout" people forget Zab was raping him before that hail mary landed
    The Clottey and Baldomir robberies
First fighter to expose Cotto up the middle before he showed his true colors with the shameful low blows
Only fighter to drop Floyd and gave him his toughest fight.

Very funny post. If you think Zab was winning the round he was knocked out in, you are daft as a brush.

Also, saying Zab gave Floyd his toughest fight is stretching it a bit, he won a couple of clear early rounds, that's it. Castillo and Cotto gave him way more harder fights.

I'm a Zab fan but this is not how Zab fights...

Its more like he tried knocking you out by taking the smallest risk possible and once he starts getting hit back 99% of the time he goes into a shell and runs because he's scared of being knocked out.

Because he has skills? I mean wtf, Zab beat mathesye who is murdering everyone at 140. And here we are talking about his off nights. Cmon guys, stop hating. Yes he is annoying and talks ****, and yeah his dad makes zero sense besides the occasional 'hit him and move zip zap yadda zippo', but the mother****er still pulls off good wins. According to you ***gots if your guy is not undefeated you might as well not even bother rooting for him. **** yall seriously.

And he still boxed his way to a win against matthese. And his time is running short so you will all eventually see the end of Super here in no time anyways. I am sure that will make your day too you sick ****s.
