would Lennox be troubled by any HW from the post LL-era?

I was rewatching the LL-Mercer fight and a thought came up to me: would any of the top HW's of the post LL era give him any trouble? Holyfield gave him problems, particularly in their second fight, so did the underrated Mavrovic, Mercer at times was battering him. I know Lennox went on to win those fights, and he would probably beat all the top guys that came along after he retired. Putting aside the Klitschko brothers though, would fighters from the post-LL era like Brewster, Liakhovic, Peter, Maskaev or any of today's HW give him a tough fight, or even have the chance to upset him?

With his chin, some bangers would have a chance to pull of the upset. Just like with Rahman, Lewis might win 8 or 9 times out of 10, but the only time that counts is the night they actually fight.

Peter is the most likely on the list to land a bomb and get a W.

    Yes of course.

Here's some FACTS about Lennox Lewis:

    - Lewis was battered from pillar to post, badly hurt several times, outboxed, outskilled, outgunned, outmuscled, outslugged, outlanded in every round, outpointed, outclassed, dominated, emasculated and retired by Vitali.

    - KTFO by Maskaev's leftovers.

    - KTFO by journeyman crackhead.

    - Got a gift decision against Mercer, who was annihilated by Wlad.

    - Went life and death with a bread hustler.

    - KTFO by Miroshnichenko in the amatuers.

    - Blatantly ducked Vitali Klitschko rematch, Wladimir Klitschko, Chris Byrd, Corrie Sanders, etc

    - Both Klitschkos have surpassed Lewis.

He already fought the best of this era and sliced his face up like a thanksgiving turkey. He would have koed Wlad the first time he hit him. I think David Price would have had the best shot of beating Lewis.

Can I ask are you gay? Its not normal to like another man like you like Wlad. And I know it has a lot to do that he is white too. BTW Vitali got beat by Lewis. The Klitschkos just don't have the skin to beat ATG's. They just cut way to ease.

I don't think so. Peter was a clubber. He was ploddy, slow, and somewhat telegraphic and predictable. I think Brewster would have a better chance at an upset, although Peter might have a edge in power. I just don't think Peter is the right type of puncher and fighter to beat or even trouble Lewis.

Sanders could make things interesting, maybe. He's enough of a sharp-shooter to have a real chance at an upset.

:dealThis... thanks buddy, you saved me the time of writing it myself..

An undefeated Peter, with a better jab, and not punch drunk yet, could shape up a lot like the Mercer fight though, very close decision.

Brewster's defense is lacking though, so while his fairly explosive offensive ability's are there, I see him getting dropped or out boxed all 12.. Sanders had that look, that it's possible lewis would underestimate him, and his skills/power/timing/ and counter punching, and be caught be a huge bomb, ala Rahman style.

It's pretty hard to say though, since Lewis never fought a southpaw, so I have no gauge on how to rate how he reacts to it.

That Bread Hustler Mavrovic line DOES make me chuckle.

But no, no one from this era bugs Lennox. Old fat Lennox ripped Vitali's face off.
