Wladimir Klitschko vs. Tomasz Adamek on April 6th??

My bet would be Szpilka or the Golota/Saleta winner as either would produce the biggest payday in Poland possible.

 

I could certainly get behind Klitschko-Pulev. They should make that fight next, but push the date back a month or so to let them get ready.

I guess what's holding it back is K2 won't want to give up 25% of the purse at this time and Pulev/Sauerland are confident they can get to mandatory status in the future.

The last IBF mandatory, Tony Thompson, agreed to fight Wlad for considerably less than 25% because Thompson hadn't fought the 2nd eliminator against Chambers.

Would be sweet if they could work it out but K2 and Sauerland haven't worked well together in the past.

It would be extremely smart of Klitschko, one of the biggest names he would have on his resume, 99.9% chance of victory, probably no harder a night than a cross between Mormeck and Austin, still keep cred with a highly Ring-ranked fighter.


...I hope it doesn't happen, and don't want to see it at all, and it would completely blow the **** out of my Adamek theory that he stepped aside in the eliminator because he knows in his heart he's on a fool's errand, ultimately, even if he pulled off a win.

 

I'd like to see Adamek/Wladamir, give Adamek one last chance at hw gold. Then retire after.

 

Source is confidential. The Adamek-Szpilka fight is planned for Poland in May, and it will likely be announced within a week or two.

But I'd sooner see Adamek cash out against Wladimir.
