I like cocky and brash fighters - but I like them to actually be funny and have some wit.

Broner seems like another Mayweather. Tries so hard to act the part of the cocky trashtalker but just isn't good at it because they don't have the imagination to actually say something funny. They just make themselves look like idiots. I mean, I'm sure they'll make money off it but I just can't buy into it.

Yesterday's press conference is a prime example of this. Any interview with Mayweather, ever, would be some more.

    I agree.

Muhammad Ali for example was funny, charismatic and original.

Broner is just cringeworthy, stood there mumbling some **** about cabbages waiting for people to laugh. Leave it.

thats the bit Floyd will never get , Ali was charming ( in his way ) Floyd is great but he's a dick.

    Broner lookin the same.

Rees is a tough wee ******* and it would be 50-50 on the street but sadly he's getting whipped in a boxing match.

of course it happened Rico  Locketts not the type to just make **** like this up

anyway, you can completely see Broner trying to confront Rees after the presser considering what a tit he made of himself during it, he can't think of anything to say, goes to get into his car, dropping his phone and smashing it all over the pavement. I'm as cynical as it comes when it comes to hear say stories as you know, but there isn't a doubt in my mind that this happened

ANyone think Rees can make it to the 8th round. +250 on the over. That is an extremely high over. Is Rees a runner or at least have the skill to run?

Very possible, But don't hold me to it... lol
(Rees was a former 140lber & may be used to the bigger punch?)

    Doubt Vasquez is scared.

"Golden Boy can stop wasting time looking for an opponent for Broner on February 16," Vazquez told ***********. "I am Broner's Christmas gift under the tree, so please open me up and you can have the number one lightweight in the world as your next opponent...I am not a punching bag like Antonio DeMarco. I am a Mexican master boxer like Pernell Whitaker." - Miguel Vasquez

Certainly ain't a runner. Has underated skills and throws lots of punches which unfortunatley could prove downfall against Broner who could counter him badly. Got loads of bottle and uses lack of height really well in that he bobs well and can be involved in head clashes.

Really like Rees and praying he can pull it off but can't see it. Just hoping he gives really good account and lands something on Broner as he can punch especially at lightweight and hits harder than records suggests. If he gives good account might lead to bigger things like Mackin. He would stand chance against Vazquez as he would push the fight and get credit for this. Burns would be good fight although Burns looking strong now.

BB, I don't know Lockett personally nor was I there to witness them facing off, so I can't really say for definite what happened. It's very likely that Broner turned up in Gavin's face to make an unsuccessful attempt to be funny/provocative -- like he was doing in the presser -- before leaving and dropping his phone whilst getting into a car. That's it. Hardly him being confused or rattled to the point he breaks his phone trying to escape.

From what I saw of the presser, Broner seemed his usual confidence self. At most, he was a little amused/surprised by Gavin -- who, in my opinion, looked more out of his element -- trying to trash talk. Yes, he went a bit overboard with refusing to acknowledge his name (the joker at one point even forgot this act and accidentally called him Gavin ), and the whole "I don't get credit for beating my opponents" thing was embarrassing to watch seeing as thought it's borrowed from Mayweather (who's even more cringe with his speeches). But really, he sees no threat in Gavin whatsoever.

The thing about Broner is that he's ultra fast and quick inside the ring.....and has a confidence that is out of control because of it.

The only problem for "Da Problem" outside the ring is his mind and intellect don't work anywhere near as quick as his hands. So when we see Broner in front of the camera and he's trying to exude this kind of confidence in his quest to portray Floyd, he comes off looking like a complete knuckle head that can't pull it off.

Whenever we see Broner, he's trying WAAAAY too hard to be this cool, cocky superstar but all anyone sees is this little guy with loads of talent making a fool of himself. Some of his interviews are cringe worthy. Floyd's bad....but Broner eclipse even Floyd in who is P4P biggest Cornball in boxing.

Lucky for Adrien he has all the qualities and tools that allow him to win inside the ring which will be the case on Saturday against Rees, but I have no question Rees witty comebacks frustrated Broner and got him flustered. He'll take it out on Rees in the ring.

Vasquez turned down $350,000 for a fight with Broner before Broner fought Demarco
