Mosley wasn't in the division the whole time that's why it took them awhile to fight you ****bucket.

He had his second career-high payday against Mosley. This was after he said Mosley wasn't a PPV attraction, and opted to fight Marquez in 2009 instead.

Didn't you call Mosley a huge step up for Mayweather despite his age?

Whether it was Floyds fault or not, whether Floyd called them out or not, the fact remains; he never fought them when it mattered. Rankings don't always tell the story. I think May is a great boxer with a lot of talent but it's pretty obvious he avoided some boxers. What's strange is that he probably would have beat them all but for whatever reason, he just didn't want to fight them.

he wouldn't have gotten 1.4 million ppv buys vs Mosley if he fought him in 2007.

he missed 2 "great' boxers, and I'm using that term very loosely.

I can name 2 Robinson missed.

I was talking Mayweather. What 2 boxers May missed.

Robinson is a different era. Plus his resume is more impressive even if he missed fights.

I'm just saying, you can do it with ANYONE's resume. Floyd is the loudmouth badguy though so people will always complain more.

IMO the blemishes on his record are Pac and Cotto in '08, even though Cotto was only tops for a few months.

    Why not Mosley?

There isn't a perfect resume, I understand that. Problem with May is that he doesn't have ONE opponent/fight that you'd consider marquee. The only TRUE HOF caliber fighters were DLH, Cotto and Mosley. I'm sure you'd agree that May was in better shape/form when he fought them. They were past their best. Marquez was too small and he never fought PAC. For example, you brought up Robinson, who fought Lamotta 5 TIMES. May couldn't even fight Pacquiao once.

Mosley was busy making stupid decisions (Forrest rematch, wright rematch, vargas rematch, etc.)

The only conceivable time I could have seen a fight happen earlier than it actually did was in '06 but Mosley declined.
