Yeah, you're probably right. Mosley was making his own decisions. Maybe Mosley ****ed up but like I said before; those fights never happened. It's cool that he didn't fight all of them but I wanted just ONE ****ING MEGA FIGHT. Just ONE. But not even that. This will hurt his legacy IMO.

Ikr. I want to add that he took a dive too against bradley like a good boy.
Fought margo after his beatdown by mosley PLUS a year laid off looking like utter crap and no wraps.
    Even older Mosley.
Not to mention Pac just got KTFO by a 40 year old JMM.

So what did it then? Beating Margarito? The guy most of you say can't draw either.

Mosley had already racked up wins over De La Hoya, Vargas, and fought a close fight with Cotto at that point. Mosley wasn't going to be known by anyone after Margarito that didn't already know who he was before that.

Most mega-bouts aren't actually that appealing to mainstream fans though. Corrales/Mayweather at 147? Huge Numbers. Mayweather/Castillo at 147/154 ? Same as well.

No mega fights? You forget Oscar/Floyd I guess.

Mayweathers Opponents and there rankings heading into the fight.

    Since 2004
DeMarcus Corley Ranked #7 at 140
Henry Bruseles Not Ranked at 140
Arturo Gatti Ranked #1 at 140 (Behind Tszyu Ring Champ)
Sharmba Mitchell Not Ranked at 147
Zab Judah Ranked #4 at 147
Carlos Baldomir Ranked #2 at 147 (Behind Margarito)
Oscar Dela Hoya Ranked #3 at 154
Ricky Hatton Ring Champ at 140 (Fight However at 147)
Juan M Marquez Ring Champ at 135 (A Farce of a Fight and at 147 2 weight divisions)
Shane Mosley Ranked #2 at 147 (Behind you guessed it Pacman)
Victor Ortiz Ranked #3 at 147 (Behind Pacman)
Miguel Cotto Ranked #1 at 154 (But a shell of himself)

Anyway I guess he can only fight who he wants and he picks them and makes sure he has all the advantages in every fight.

The Marquez fight was a clear case of seeing it first hand.

Yep and more specially I'm talking about 2008 / 2009. Mosley was available and begging Floyd for a fight and he was ignored. Floyd took on Marquez in 2009 when Mosley was available, and told ESPN that Mosley wasn't a PPV attraction.

No Mosley was begging Pac for a fight early 2009. When Pac said no he moved to Floyd

    Then Floyd fought him

Well I meant Mega Fight in the sense that both fighters would be at their best and considered the best P4P. Oscar vs May is the closest thing since Oscar was still fighting at a good level but he wasn't going to beat May in his Prime.

I'm talking **** like Duran vs Leonard, Trinidad vs Oscar, Chavez vs Taylor. **** like that. Castillo and Corrales vs May were very good but May was still climbing the ranks and none of those guys are of the caliber I'm talking about.

In May's case, It should have been Pacquiao or Cotto like you said. Maybe even Mosley. DLH would have been difficult with the gap in divisions.

Corrales was actually higher than Mayweather on the P4P rankings. And went on to beat Freitas, Castllo, Casamayor, etc. after the Floyd loss.

It was a mega fight if you were following then.

Mosley was hunting down Floyd for years doofus. Floyd took a 2 year "retirement" when Mosley , Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams were all active in the division and at there best.

Then he came back and dragged up the lightweight champ instead of fighting Mosley who was the WW champ.

Margarito proved he was a #1 contender by squeaking by Clottey, losing to Williams (who lost to Quintana). Don't you see?!?

Mosley was still WW champ when Floyd fought him you ****ing spastic.

Floyd fought Mosley after Mosley got his hopes up thinking Pacquiao would actually fight the #1 guy in their weight class.

Complete and utter NONSENSE!!!!! Is this what you call hunting?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3HkxRSP2G0

You know who Mosley was hunting? Pacfraud. Pac ran for years until FMJ beat Mosley.

I had a feeling that you'd bring up rankings. What ranking are you talking about? The reason I ask is because RING had Mayweather in the TOP 10 P4P (#2 TO BE EXACT) in 99, and IMO that was absurd. So I don't always put too much into rankings.

IMO, Corrales is not at the level, of Cotto, Mosley, DLH or Pac. So that's why I wouldn't consider it a MEGA fight. I understand you're point though. It was a BIG FIGHT. Great fight. But that's not what I'd consider MEGA.
