The fight with Hatton was signed long before Cotto became #1.

Unfortunately for Floyd, numbers do lie.

    Baldomir, Gatti? Really?

Cotto was #1 at 154.... among who exactly? He got his ass beaten months later by a guy no one ever heard of.

Mosley was the only real, legit fight he should have taken , but he waited him out so long, Mosley was a spent old man by the time they fought.

See this is the art of cherry picking and Floyd is great at it.

He fights guys who have stats on paper , but there is 0 substance behind it. (Ortiz was the champ at WW!)

He didn't take the toughest fights out there in his stint at 140/147 - period.

Prime Cotto , Margarito, younger Mosley , PW, Pacquiao - He fought none of them, end of.

Gatti(RIP) was a paper champion at 140, the number one fighter was Hatton who openly claimed he's not ready yet.

outside of Mosley, all weak comp by champion standards. He let the best get away.

He could've been the best, but lazy S.O.B.:deal

Gatti, Baldo, old Mosley, Cotto @ 154! LMFAO... Bahhahaahhahahahahaa This is a joke right?

Why doesn't Void fight Lara, Trout or Martinez @ 154? You know the best guys in the weight class... Yes Martinez could make 154, he's a career 154 fighter!

Who was the better champ than Castillo at 135 around that time? Corrales at 130 at the time?

 if you think Floyd ducked Cotto and Hatton at 140 then you're a ******. Tzyu, I could see you ignorantly thinking that, but I have a whole thread disproving that. Feel free to look that up

This is absolute crap. After Floyd's total and complete destruction of Arturo Gatti, _nobody_ at 140 wanted anything to do with Floyd - and for good reason. Can't blame Floyd for the top guys @ 140 not wanting to fight.

Besides that, Floyd KO'ed Hatton who WAS the top guy @ 140.

This blind hatred of Floyd needs to stop.

He ducked the #1 guy of his time, and that's what he'll be remembered for.

Every single boxing legend always fought (win or lose) against his arch-rival and they met to decide who "THE MAN" of their time really was.

thats all that needs to be said about floyd mayweather.
