Fres Oquendo v Danny Williams - March 8 - Moscow

I honestly think that Danny Williams is going to die in a boxing ring.

 

**** man, I'm also getting really worried about Danny.

This kind of thing shouldn't be happening.

 

Has Oquendo vs Klitschko finally been scrapped?

 

TBH i'm just glad Oquendo isn't fighting Wlad..

Your right lads Danny's risking his life in the ring now and has been for the past 4 years he's a law unto to himself. He's got children and a wife who he's got to be putting them through a lot of fears as his fans also. I understand he needs to make money but he's still operating against guys who can do him harm and this is as dangerous as the bodyguard work IMHO.

You get a kushti little job and your alright, This your fighting a man who's attitude is 'kill or be killed' and some people won't go 'poor Danny i'm going to take it easy on him'..

 

Williams is his own man though and entitled to make his own decisions about his life.

We don't know his motivations or how much he's getting. He'll probably make more against Oquendo than most posters here make in a year.

 

danny is old enough to make his own decisions. it's a shame for his fans to see but he's at no more risk than your average journeyman, he will end up more punch drunk imo but that's his choice to make.

 

Your right it's his own decision but doesn't mean it's the right one by him or his family..

 

Mercifully Oquendo isn't much of a puncher and prefers to box.

Danny's punch resistance seems shot, but still should be enough here for him to go the distance. Fres should be too nimble though.

No point saying Danny should hang them up, that's been obvious since the Chisora loss (and arguably since the Sosnowski one), it's just business for him now and putting food on the table. Terrible shame though, I hope not one with a tragic ending.

 

Maybe he needs the money!

 

This is sad someone with in his camp or friends needs to tell him to stop.
