He made 3.2m fighting Floyd - which was his highest purse before the 4th fight with Pacquiao. Not sure how much more he made with Diaz, but i'm sure it's still peanuts compared to the Pacquiao money.

For a fighter with 1 or 2 fights left, money will talk. Rios is not as big a name as you think despite the Alvarado fight. Besides that's if he gets through Alvarado which is a big IF

I am not just talking about the Alvarado fight. Rios has been on almost every Pac undercard getting some exposure and the whole making fun of Roach got him some more publicity.

I would make that fight at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. I bet they can fill that baby up with those 2 names.

Marquez can fight whoever he wants. He has nothing to prove.
And whoever he fights, I'll be watching.

No stupid ass. JMM is also thinking legacy at this point. There's no need to fight pac again. The 5th fight will result in an even greater disaster for manny. Trainers like Nacho and fighters like JMM understand the repercussions of such a KO, which is why they dismiss a 5th fight.

    manny KTFO6

Fighting Rios will make some money and will almost certainly be an action fight. Great choice by the legend, true ATG, JMM

too much pressure, too young, too iron chinned.

i don't think Marquez old body can take much more.

Hell yes. He already conquered Pacquiao, so it makes sense that he gives younger guns a chance. At this age someone like Rios is someone I'd still expect him to handle but is threatening enough to make things interesting. Volume-punching inside fighters bring the best out of Marquez.
