Both have relative weak resume's but their upswing is huge. DeMarco being the best win of the bunch. (PDL fight was not impressive at all)
Both are young untested fighters. One has aced all his tests though. Canelo has never arguably been beaten like Broner was by PDL. Their resumes are both lacking but that is because they are young. 22 Canelo and Broner 23. Why did so many people pick Broner. Please make a case other than because he is a brotha.

Broner decimated the highest rated fighter(at the time) in his division. Canelo has not even got in the ring with any of the highly rated lmw's. Not a single one. No contest at all here.
