You guys should make the writing green the logo red and the background white Makes a pretty darn nice avatar :good
I feel like an unhelpful ******* pointing this out but that logo has devolved from earlier in the thread. I say this as someone who earns their living from design. I haven't been checking in to this thread for over a week and it's gone horribly wrong. Love Freddy, love the project but this is not good. Worst of all are the disconnected elements - there is no harmony in this logo. It's asymmetrical in a bad way and the typography is all over the place. Ditch the ring motif, pull the text underneath the logo and introduce a secondary typeface and you can rescue it. The lion and the gloves are ok - there is just no connectivity or flow in terms of a path between the text elements. Trace your finger around the design and it falls to pieces. Look at the spacing in between the disparate text elements and even in a micro-level between the individual letters - an example being how the "T" in "Out" is hanging out. You might chastise me for being pedantic but this could be so much better. Try and get hold of Taschen's logo books to see how an effective logotype should be built.
Is the Lion supposed to represent Lennox Lewis? Lennox "The Lion" Lewis And his infamous TKO over Vitali? Why a lion?
Why don't you try it.... :huh I can upload you the psd somwhere and you can do whatever. As pro as you say you are it will probably take 5-10 minutes.
****en stop it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ur killing me here...that lion looks ****en badass tooooo.....but take out boxing and do the KNOCK OUT like the other one :bbb
This is why I was reluctant to reply to the thread. I'm only trying to be constructive and my CV will be well known to quite a few people here on ESB. Just try to drop the text below the lion motif and introduce a complimentary typeface to match the collegiate one.
You do realise that my first language is not English, and I'm a self though photoshoper, and have no idea what a complementary typeface suppose to mean.
