Adrien Broner vs. Gavin Rees & Sakio Bika vs. Nikola Sjekloca RBR

Broner is a very entertaining fighter. I could do without all his talking because he is not that funny. I actually didn't laugh once.

Not hating on the guy, and I was more impressed tonight than I was when I saw him vs Demarco, but I really need to see him face another fighter who I actually view as legit, such as: Rios, Matthysse, Marquez... somebody of that nature.

He is definitely an exceptional fighter, but it remains to be seen how he performs in a more even matchup, and how he reacts to adversity/ being hurt.

 

I don´t think is nice...the hair stuff, the entrance, meh I´m not the type of guy who enjoys these things....he looks like a spoiled kid to me.

I guess I respect more Floyd because Floyd is a great fighter, and Broner ir not, he is just a novice yet.....Novices can´t be like that in my view.

When you sound authentic like Ali did for example, then it´s interesting, but again, Ali was an awesome fighter, he could do it, it´s something. What Broner is doing is cheap, you know... that´s how I view it.

 

Broner's gonna have to fix up when he starts fighting guys at 140 because he's flatfooted and not all that hard to hit. But he's also lightening quick with great timing and punch selection. Should make for some very entertaining fights.

Someone like matthysse would be a great match. Khan would be exciting. I think he'd **** Rios up. Marquez perhaps wouldn't be as exciting as those fights but it'd be interesting as hell.

 

Rees was a pitbull in there, he did a lot better than I expected.

RJJ acted like him when he used to box. Bhop acted worse than him and was actually disrespectful to the people he fights to this day.

What disrespectful thing did Broner say about Rees before the fight? I saw the presser, he went out of his way to talk bout how good Rees is and how he won't underestimate him because he is a world class fighter. After the fight he said nothing derogatory at all about him. In the brit broadcast he even complemented him.

So seriously what are you talking about?

When Ali was young people got on him for doing the same ****, but nostalgia blinds people and people look at it glowingly when back them people hated him as much as you all hate Broner now for the same ****. LOL.

Fact is I can understand if you don't like the gimmick, but the venom that some people throw at things that really don't matter outside the **** he really does makes no sense at all to me.

He is a fun loving kid, doesn't curse a great deal, doesn't get in trouble out the ring, puts on a excellent show inside the ring, and doesn't disrespect anyone.

Maybe in 10 years everyone will look another raising star and say the same thing you are saying in this thread.

Look at that loud mouth young fighter. He hasn't done anything he shouldn't be saying what he is, who does he think he is Broner or something.

 

Broner's offense is fantastic, but he is very hittable. Great combo for some real action fights.

 

Maybe you missed the part where he went on about forgetting Rees' name?

The tall guy on the left. He's a middleweight. He's not that much bigger than Broner, so obviously Broner should be fighting him.

 

The brush thing is a stupid and unfunny gimmick he brings into every fight. Maybe you forgot the last time he got down on a knee or something and asked his girl to brush his hair. Tell me that's not wack.

When you say you beat the hell of out a guy, brag about how you would have knocked him out even if the towel wasn't thrown in, act like a dick during playback instead of analyzing the situation like most other boxers, making mention of forgetting the guys name like you haven't heard it a million times... yeah, he was disrespectful.

Even if this is all just an act, that doesn't change my opinion of how ridiculous the entire thing is, or how pathetic it is that there are people out there who actually enjoy it.
