I agree there is nothing wrong staying at a weight if you can make weight and take a weight advantage in with you all the better. Chavez jnr did it all the time
yeah if you can make the weight, then you should fight there ya know. He's only had 2 fights really and he's seems to want to stay active this year
These posters are not fooling anyone. This is not about moving up tp a higher weight because there is no-one to fight at a current weight. They just want "Certain Fighters" (HINT HINT) to move-up so they can fight outside their comfort zone and lose, just so they can say "Ha....told you he was overrated". I honestly believe that there are less than five posters that have the ability to be completely honest about how good or bad a fighter is without their HATE-FILLED bias clouding their judgement. And this Gander-Tasco is NOT ONE OF THEM!!!
Watch the video of Broner refusing to fight Guerrero! Broner was afraid, ran away like the coward he really is. He will keep fighting little unknown street fighters, drunks and winos.
Well, that's all well and good, but it works both ways. The LW division is at its weakest point in a long while. Thinking back I can't remember the LW division ever being this weak from 1-15. So yeah, stay there and clean the division out, or what's left of it after everyone decent already vacated to 140. But Broner and his fans need to learn how to take criticism then. Respect from reasonable boxing fans won't come until he beats someone good enough to match the **** talking and all the flash he puts out. Until then, it is what it is.
why can't he pull a Donaire and fight 3-4 fights there within 2 years and move up? He's 23 and it's not like once he leaves the weight class, he can go back. I sometimes still wish Mayweather would have spent more time at 135 and 140. No need to rush things
He will rise to whatever level he needs to, it's silly to try and poo poo a dude who beat his opponent so bad that the mans corner stopped the fight because the feared for his health.
The hype, and more importantly, the fighter believing the hype pushes that fighter into a corner. This scenario has been played out many times in not just boxing history, but sports in general as well. When the hype/**** talking doesn't match the resume...people scratch their heads and shrug their shoulders. Can we really blame them?
Vasquez vs Burns for Broner is kinda like Trout vs Canelo for Mayweather winner deserves a shot at the best, Broner should fight the winner as his last fight at the weight
The main factor in this fight is broner wouldn't be able to hurt matthysse but you can bet your ass Matthysse can hurt him.:deal
The love and hate for Broner is unbelievable, you either love him or hate him. To be frank he wasnt that impressive last night and his defence isnt as great as some like to think. We will know the deal once he fights a legitimate threat i suppose.
