Yes, they both act similar in the ring and outside. But Broner's defense is no where near Mayweather's. We saw how he got hit pretty easily during the fight. Mayweather at the same age was a lot better defensively.

People need to stop comparing these guys, Broner is an act. A clever guy trying his best to look like Mayweather to make more $$$. But he is nowhere near his level. An elite brawler will walk down and knock Broner out end off. Now let these discussions using Mayweather and Broner in the same sentence end. :good

Adrien Broner is a good fighter in his own right, and he's the first person who will say "don't compare me to any other fighter, past or present. I'm Adrien Broner. ...Now, brush my hair".

Mayweather is a special fighter who's already proven himself to be one of the best of the last 25 years. Broner is the new kid on the block and has a long way to go.

He doesn't have to be Mayweather to be great in this era.

Broner is only trying to be like Floyd outside the ring.

But Floyd paid his dues, was a concenus P4P guy before he started acting like a ****. He just created a persona to help market himself. While Broner seems to be a genuine tool.

In the ring, you can not compare the two.

Anybody that really knows boxing would never compare the two, Floyd fought Castillo at lightweight a man who would hammer Broner.

Mayweather has taken Broner under his wing.

You do realize styles make fights? The comparison you have mentioned is totally irrelevant. The fact is Broner's style is based on Mayweather. However, his defense is awful when comparing it to Floyd's - which is why I have requested people not mention both fighters in the same sentence.

I would love to see sparring footage between the two. In a roundabout sort of way, it would be like Floyd exposing his own weaknesses.

Floyd has defensive moves that can be made into a highlight reel. I mean just take a look at his shoulder roll sequence when he was on the ropes against N'dou. Has Broner ever displayed that type of defensive skill level? Nope. Not even close.

Broner might be the best thing to happen to Floyd because people are going to see that Broner is very good at defense and then learn how great Floyd's defense was/is.

Would have loved to have seen that. Castillo was built from granite.
