I love John Ruiz, in a non-gay way. Sometimes when I am making love to my wife, while she's asleep obviously, I pretend I am John Ruiz and there is a lot of hugging and strange movements going on, you know, I just think my wife deserves the best, and John Ruiz is the best. Here's why:-

    1) Don King is a notorious man, and widely considered to be a ****. People don't like him, he talks funny, but he put his money where his mouth is and put John Ruiz in with the best of the best. Golota, McCline, Tynchey Stryder possibly if he were a boxer, Rahman, James Toney, Roy Jones, Tony Tucker, Evander Holyfield. The list could go on and on, if only there were more time.

    John Ruiz's Resume - Outstanding

    2) John’s chin is possibly made of some unknown metallic compound, it is harder than steel. His jaw line is also cut and makes his face look handsome as hell, in a non-gay way . Sure Tua "knocked him out" in less time than it would take to lie on your back and blow a malteaser in the air, but it was a freak lucky punch and The Quiet man has improved umpteen times since then. Plus, he was cheated in that fight, it should be a DQ win for Ruiz. Lennox Lewis got knocked out twice!

    John Ruiz's Chin - Immense

    3) He smothers the opponent like no one else when they get close in, so they cannot get a decent shot off, which is fantastic defense. You will never, ever, see John Ruiz on one of those embarrasing, deeply humiliating for all eternity boxing blooper reels, except for the Tua "knock out". Defensively, I think he is somewhere in between Willie Pep and John Wayne. He can avoid combat when he wants to, but can go in all guns blazing and **** people up when the cameras are rolling.

    John Ruiz's Defense - Impeccable

    4) His superior strength means he can bull his opponents around the ring, which is why no one will fight him worth their salt. Ducked by Lennox Lewis, who handed in his WBA belt not to fight John Ruiz. Lewis was of course beaten by Rahman, who Ruiz outclassed over 12 action packed rounds. Therefore, Ruiz knocks out Lennox Lewis inside 2 rounds.

    John Ruiz's Strength - Inhuman

    5) He has great conditioning so he can go the full 12 rounds and never feel tired. He is like a man-beast, a parody of himself, because he is always like "I'm John Ruiz, but I'm NOT John Ruiz, but I am." He has fought tooth and nail multiple times, and in the last 10 fights he has gone the distance an astonishing 12 times. He reminds me of a knights horse, glistening with muscle, his gloves take the place of hooves, and he charges at the opponent, rears up, and pans them. For 12 whole rounds.

    John Ruiz's Stamina - Frightening

    6) He dumped his wife so he can concentrate fully on his career, instead of letting his mind wander onto sexual matters. This is very important to a fighter. It makes them mean. John Ruiz is mean, but also he has a kind of vulnerability which is why he is so popular among boxing fans. No one wants to see him get hit, but in an odd way you kind of would like to punch him. He's a paradox, that's for sure. A boxer who is as smart out the ring as he is suave inside of it.

    John Ruiz's Mentality - Warrior

    7) He has a huge right hand which he is starting to use more and could knock out any heavyweight today with it, possibly even himself. Remember how he dropped Evander Holyfield with the right? What about how he dropped Ray Anis with a right, followed by a left, followed by this blur which could have been any number of punches. When he dropped Otis Tisdale for the final time, as he hit him with the left hook he then crouched down and followed Otis down to the canvas, as if he was somehow moving him with his eyes. It was sickening, but that's John Ruiz.

John Ruiz's Punching Power and speed - Ouch! What was that? It was John Ruiz, *****.

He's proved his salt by coming back from boxing politics to be the 2 time champion. Not many people can do that, in the fashion John Ruiz has done. Through sheer grit, determination, and skill. Lots of skill.

John Ruiz's claim to be a real champion - unquestionable.

Okay, let's talk about how "great" Ruiz is. The truth is, he's appropriately regarded by most boxing fans for being the talentless cheater he always was.

Let's talk about how his connections with Don King got him title shots he didn't deserve, and "victories" he shouldn't have "won."

Let's talk about how once Ruiz discovered his mediocre boxing abilities wouldn't be competitive with top level fighters, how he then resorted to blatantly and repeatedly violating the rules against excessive holding. And let's talk about how his connections with King allowed him to get away with it!

Oh, and while we're at it, let's talk about Ruiz's overacting when hit with borderline body shots to force bogus, and decisive, "low blow" calls in at least three fights (Thunder, Holyfield II, Johnson).

And, let's not forget to talk about how Ruiz ripped off the fans of seeing the boxing matches they PAID to see with his illegal and disgraceful tactics, and how he cheated his opponents of their opportunity to win WITHIN the rules!!

John Ruiz is a disgrace to the sport of boxing. Exhibit A of the corruption that is ruining this sport. A glorified clubfighter who wouldn't have sniffed a title without Don King

When Ruiz met Sugar Nick V, I thought the world might end due to the sheer offensive power that was released.
