I know for the most part it has proven ineffective, but any aspects/techniques that you can think of that have proven effective. I am guessing that kung fu shares some techniques with other arts, that may be used in mma..but i am referring to those things used chiefly (or only even) in kung fu.

it hasn't, maybe in mma. but must understand that most traditional martial arts derived from weaponry training. these are all techniques to disable your opponents spear, sword even gun and then use your weapon of choice to slice your opponent after with your free arm. that's why i hate these ppl who say traditional martial arts are ineffective. i'd rather be a ninjitsu expert if it means i have to escape some prison or i am being held captive over bjj which is only one aspect of all combat in general. So to answer your question , its not probable but i have seen some guys like lyoto machida utilize close grip techniques like aikido. so its not outside the realm of possibility.

The most dangerous part of Kung Fu is that they learn you how to disarm a guy with a knife...
Too bad the training is not like how it's in real life and it can be your death if you don't avoid a fight with a guy who has a knife.
