Tyson was an ultra Patterson, not a super Frazier.
He was better than Frazier but he wasn't Frazier.

my money is on tyson to land that left hook hard and early. Tyson had the power to hurt ali and if Ali had trouble with Fraziers head movement you can beat your ass he'd have trouble with Tyson's. Once ali is hurt tyson gains confidence and your theory is out the window.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctKAGKVpCUU does anybody in here think tyson couldn't move and hit better than frazier in this fight?

I don't know don't who on Ali 's level or close too it did he ever land such a shot .I mean with Fraizer there was something else in play pure hated for Ali his mental toughness was alo bigger thn Tyson's ..Everytime we have seen Tyson face adversity or for the most part he's come up short ..You say the old timers were overrated mentally they were under rated .

get that unmeasurble **** out of the conversation or we won't get anywhere. the fact is Tyson had superior head movement and precision to frazier. If frazier can land on Ali than tyson would hit him harder and more frequently. Look at frazier's head movement in that fight its not even that good offensively. Tyson used his head movement not just for defense like Frazier does here but also to get into positions to counter.

Joe Louis. Two handed boxer puncher who could stalk and retreat while still throwing ko shots well into the 15th round.

Ali would get the best early, with Louis being dropped a couple times, but as the fight wore on and Ali's legs began to tire and Louis was still infront of him throwing polished bombs of intent it'll get interesting

Un- Measurable ? Your kidding right  Part of that is what separates the greats ..There is a reason great fighters perform great! Whats the old adage, how much of it is mental as opposed to physical ? Tyson's head movement and counter punching ability was great so was Fraizer's Tyson may have had the edge in speed but what happens in deep waters ?

Here is something else what does Tyson do when he Is backed up and loses that leverage ? You really think a fighter with the IQ of Ali couldn't have exploited that ?

Man we can approach this on every angle but if Tyson doesn't get him out in under 6 your really think he's beating Ali down the stretch ? Hell I don't !

tyson's style needs energy so this is true or very close. however you clearly didn't watch the fight. Watch a few rounds and tell me tyson couldn't do everything Joe did better in everyway.

What you need to remember about Muhammad Ali was we were robbed of seeing him in his prime for 3 1/2 yrs. What could he have accomplished in that time??? That enforced & I feel unjust exile caused his skills to erode. When he came back he was still the best around but no where near the fighter he was before

ALI IS WAS & WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ali is the best who's ever done it. On his best night even an ATG is going to have problems landing ANYTHING solid on him.
