Is it a good challenge for Canelo to prove himself against a legitimate super welterweight contender? Or do you think Trout has been overhyped due to a win over a shop worn Cotto? How do you think Canelo handles this fight?

First fight in Canelos career where he won't be able to dictate the pace, he'll also be at a disadvantage in height and range.

Should he come out and try to walk Trout down? Hmmm, could put him behind the scorecards early with a big mountain to climb later.

Should he try to counter Trout and hope his shots are harder making Trout less willing to throw punches making it easier later int he fight to press the action

    Very interesting fight here

He needs to keep the activity up or he's in deep trouble. Definitely a challenge. It would be interesting to see if he can box and counter and then press the action. Whatever he does he must keep an activity. He can't rest for a minute a round the way he likes or he'll get out-pointed.

It will be a very tough night for both guys, I reckon.

Its do or die for Canelo.

well for one, he's finally fighting someone of decent size, but I still think Alvarez will take this one.

    I think so! :good

The difference between Canelo and Cotto is that Canelo will patiently but aggressively attack Trout and not take a backward step!

Since his beatdown at the hands of Margarito, Cotto finds himself thinking to much in there and does'nt let it flow.

Think trout will make it difficult and take it to the latter rounds but in the end Canelo is just to powerful and gets a late stoppage

canelo outboxes trout to a wide decision.

I'm not sure what trout has in his arsenal to make this competetive.

this is either gonna look like Cotto vs Trout or Cotto vs Judah
all depends on if Canelo is the real deal or not

I can't wait for this bout, very intriguing. I'm favouring Trout by a close decision (or controversial loss). It will be interesting to see if Canelo can dictate the pace like he usually does.

Trout will win this, all he has to do is put some beef behind his jab. He won't be missing with it all night, if he lands hard jabs to the head then softens him up to the body, I can see Trout taking him out in 10, or at least a corner stoppage.
