I see Canelo suffering his first loss.

It's a bit of both. Trout, no doubt, is the toughest challenge of his career, but at the same time he's not really anything special and the only thing he brings with him, like you say, is an upset win over Cotto.

I think Canel will win a wide decision. He'll be the aggressor and, with his convincing combinations, he'll make it hard for the judges to give any rounds to Trout - who is somewhat negative and doesn't have the most eye-pleasing style.

The only thing Trout brings is a better skill set.

very risky fight for canelo.if he loses(could happen easily) he might not get a oppertunity to fight mayweather soon...but he got my respect now that he chose to fight such a dangerous opponent.now we will see what he is made of..

Easy work for Canelos . Trout has no power. None.

Exciting beginning rounds with Trout out boxing him for the majority. I than see Canelo getting frustrated and just abandoning strategy and start to fight on emotion which in this case will help him imo.

I got Canelo by late stoppage or winning enough rounds in the second half to win the fight, maybe score a KD if he doesn't stop trout.

1st thing I noticed was ts saying Trout may be overrated. Funny & ironic at the same time. Some people forget what the sport is about. It's not easy to beat a Mexican in Mexico, or a Puerto Rican in New York. Trout did this twice.

I crept over to the scene on the down low & there are idiots over there saying ginger deserves props for this fight?? Is that right, how so?? He's fighting exactly who he's supposed to be fighting. What he did not deserve was his belt & the string of crap title defenses.

Trout has better stamina, foot & hand speed, he's longer, a southpaw & is more skilled. The advantage everyone claims ginger has in power isn't proven. I'm sure Trout would also have stopped Lopez in dominating fashion without being hit as cleanly as ginger.

Austin Trout hands him a boxing clinic. The only way I see him losing is by highway robbery.

Expecting a tough close fight with Trout doing more to secure a decision. Trout will be a huge step-up for Alvarez who's biggest fight/win to date is an old shot to nothingness Mosley.

Cotto in a poor performance won 5 rnds against Trout . It doesnt mean without a doubt Trout is going to lose to Canelo . But Canelo should get the win .

Why was his performance poor?? Because he lost MrPR?? I think Cotto fought quite well in both fights of 2012.
