    Great win of course.

Personally, i have JMM at the top of the trio by a hair, followed by Morales and Barrera. Not alot seperating these 3 tho.

Morales having the best resume is very hard to justify.

Marquez's FW and LW runs are seriousl underrated. He fought allot of the 'who need them crowd' at 126. The amazing thing about Marquez is in his career over 5 weight classes there's only 1 fight he clearly lost against a bigger ATG

Morales first Pac win is great though no doubt, not quite as great as JMM-Pac 4

I agree it's underrated. I don't agree it was great. Morales tear that Barrera III and Zahir Raheem stopped was legendary.

:huh Do you mean Junior Jones? Raheem beat him, so did MAB in the third. Junior Jones was a very good win but he was coming off a KO loss himself

Jones, Espadas, Tapia, Ayala, Barrera, McCullough, Injin Chi, Jesus Chavez, Pacquiao. A couple great fighters and a slew of very good ones.

The third Barrera fight put the breaks on, Rahim ended Morales legendary run. Pacquiao knocked him out of the elite, where he never has returned, despite being given a gift title after beating Cano and Limond(LOL). Garcia, hopefully, sent him back to the retirement that should have stayed real after Diaz.

I gotta' say though, IMO I thought he earned a draw with Maidana. Even if he didn't, and even with all the shots that (physically) old man took....something about getting the horrific swelling so early and using all those veteran tricks, tearing it up in a FOTY contender....for me it made me happy to be a boxing fan that night, I mean as a spectator of the modern game.

'El Terrible' rolling back the years, even only a couple years worth of form (he was shafted against David Diaz if I remember rightly but ain't watched it for a while, should I?) and going to war against Maidana made me beam like a summers day. Wonderful.

I had Maidana 115-113, but that was a great fight, and a great example of pure craft giving a younger, stronger, sharper, better conditioned fighter fits. Maidana had every physical advantage, and Morales made him work for the win with skill, poise, and focus.

The Diaz fight was close. Morales had a great first half with a knockdown, but the wheels came off late. Diaz looked close to a stoppage in the 12th round.

Don't think he fought Tapia did he, first Espadas fight was a bit controversial. On my card he beat David Diaz though, although DD was the weakest titlist at LW. Zaragoza and Hernandez were also decent low tier world champ on Morales resume

It's a pity we didn't get JMM-Morales at 126, Arum could have easily made that then but didn't want it

Personally I'd take JMM: Pacx4, MAB, Casamayor,Chris John (he won), Polo, Gainer, Norwood (could of gone either way), Medina, Diazx2, Katsidis, Salido, Jaurez, Agapito Sanchez

JMM maybe should retire, he's looking past his best but I'm sure he'll want a couple of paydays first

The only Terrible thing in the Maidana fight was Maidana's conditioning, he blew his load early. Still I don't think Morales won over 5 rounds, I think there was a sense of romance with the fans. For the record a shot Corley was also supposed to have taken Maidana to the wire

David Diaz I had him winning 7-5 but he got his ass kicked in the championship rounds pretty badly. You're going to struggle to take the belt in those circumstances

Zaragoza was not low tier but he was way past his best at that point. Still, Morales wa young. Solid win.

I watched the Corley fight and yes he did. But he usually causes guys hassle and stays in there even now. He beat McCloskey up in another 'solid veteran' Vs 'ragged young'un and hey, I hate McCloskey and don't rate him but Corley was still useful.

The Corley fight wasn't as good but yes, I enjoyed it too. Maidana looked worse than he did against Erik physically though, knackered IIRC.

And yes I think Morales can win 6 rounds in that fight.

21 year old fighters aren't supposed to outbox guys with skills like Zaragoza, who was faded but still incredibly capable.

Morales displayed Mike Tyson levels of radically advanced craft at a young age. That fight was supposed to be stupid matchmaking.

He didn't look right to me from the outset, but yeah, of course we give Manny full credit for it. I'm not going to lie though, Marco looked like ****.

We have a better sample size, thankfully. He did really well in the rematch, he was just old and couldn't keep up over the second half of that contest.
