Their gimmic used to be oh you can blossom on Sho and then we will take you to the "big time" but now that they are losing big time fighters to sho time I can't see that pitch working out anymore. HBO is trying to promote Donaire and maybe it will happen, but I don't see him catching on like Manny did. Martinez doesn't have too many fights left, Mitchell's star burned quickly, they didn't make any overtures for the Olympians and it seems Showtime is the one building relationships with them (spence Jr. mainly). I don't see where HBO is gonna last long as a premire boxing broadcaster if they don't start working to get these fighters in at the ground level like Shotime does.
