Mate I've heard all the stories unfortunately they all can't be lies, what I would say is I don't beleive he'd do anything silly whilst in a gym training or maybe I just don't know him anymore

As I said, the gym incidents were relayed to me by guys I only knew as passing gym acquaintances, and although I tried to make clear that it was speculation I'm a tad pissed with myself for speculating at all.
However, there are other stories which have come from people I've known for years, and when I saw some of the allegations made on here I started to wonder if legends are taking over from truth,as some of the similarities are so uncanny.
I was semi-friendly with people who didn't like Scott because of incidents that took place before he became more famous for his antics than his considerable achievements in the ring, hence the reason I believe them to be authentic.
But despite said antics,I'm feeling rather guilty about joining the queue to **** on a man who is clearly troubled now,and although I'll never be a fan,I think it's worth remembering that he achieved things most of us can only dream of.

And even though he was no slouch,he should never be allowed to spar anyone as good as Ricky Burns, far less take Ricky on in a sanctioned bout.

Well I think its a shame, he seemed to be getting himself back on track even if there was a wee lapse or two (hardly anything that ******ts more jailtime). Lets not forget that he is back inside because of something he did back in spain when he was off the rails (at least as far as I know thats the reason) and now after he has been inside for ages then has a good go at fixing his life and returning (successfully may i add) to boxing they decide to convict him for something they should have sorted when he was there the first time.

Scott has certainly done some things that ******ted punishment but I truly believed he had managed to get himself back to normality and he deserved the opportunity to prove he had changed.

And as a boxing fan he done so much for uk boxing that surely as fans we can give him a second chance. Both Hatton and Calzaghe have admitted being cokeheads for a while but we still give them all the respect etc so why not a second chance for oor scotty.

And for the record I think a fight between him and Ricky would have been a great event (as long as scott was ready and properly prepared for it) and although I think Ricky would have won it would be a great fight imo.

I wouldnt worry mate, he obviously has issue's and he's the only one that can deal with them...sounds like he is ill and needs help so go and get it if he is serious. The harrison stories have been going on to long now for me to think he can get back into boxing...he's another Gazza but nasty with it.

Lets be honest he's coming back for financial reasons, he's not exactly got much on his CV other than boxing and jail so there's not going to be too many opportunities out there for him so he's obviously going for a last few pay days. If he was truly motivated by wanting to achieve he would be off the booze and working hard. Alcoholism is a disease but at the same time it's a disease that many have beaten and it's entirely in his hands so I don't have much sympathy for him.

I predicted Pavlik had been through too much to come back and was right, how could Harrison come back having been out longer with more serious issues?
You're right mate, it's hard to sympathise when the guy is troubled AND nasty.

The difference between Pavlik and Harrison is probably that in America you can have 3 pints every day after work and be considered an alcoholic but in Scotland you can probably do a bottle of scotch a day and just be someone that "likes a drink" I would say!

yep and If they did do a Burns v Harrison fight, not only would it be a farce of a fight it wold just feed Harrison with some more cash to go booze and beat people up!

    Wrong on both counts!
