Didn't Trout say he'd never lose to no white boy? Wait, Alvarez is Mexican. Just kidding. Just bringing up some old BHop comments.

I take Canelo by mid fight TKO stoppage.
They will feel eachother out for the first few RDS once Alvarez tests out Trout's punch & walks thru it Canelo will begin to unload to the body & head.

See Austin going to the ropes & getting trapped.
Canelo may not have the fastest feet but his hand speed is very good for the division.

    lmao

I agree with this but Trout also has no problem clinching when he's in trouble. He clinched 100000 times in the Cotto fight. That type of "smothering" might be problematic for Canelo to get going.

Trout is a spoiler and will lose a boring decision to the much better Alvarez-if they fight at all on May 4.

Canelo W 12 in a hard-fought decision. I see it as a toss-up kind of fight, but I still feel Canelo is the better guy. He will have to be on his A game to get it done.

We are getting way ahead of ourselves though. I seriously doubt this fight will happen on May 4th if it happens at all.

I think Alvarez is the real deal.

He may struggle at times with trout, but i personally expect Alvarez to outbox him fairly comfortably over 12 rounds.

I personally think, a big part of the delay is, this is way to big a fight to be anyone's undercard.

Why would Alvarez want to fight his toughest test a light middle unification fight on Mexican independance day, as an undercard.

This is a main event PPV headline event.

Can't see a stoppage, just a very controversial decision

Alvarez, but a Trout win wouldn't surprise me at all. I just think Alvarez's sharper and more eye-catching offense, along with his body-punching, timing, and combinations, will be enough to overcome the movement and sharp right jab that Trout has. Alvarez's lack of foot-speed in closing distance could be an issue as Trout does a nice job of side-stepping and controlling angles on the outside. Trout has underrated physical strength also, which helps him in-close.
