Dan Rafael is saying that HBO says the Broner-Rees fight got 1.4 million viewers with a peak of 1.55 million. That was 1/3 more than he got against DeMarco.

Do HBO still include the re-runs in the viewing figures?

    Broner is a ratings monster

Unlike Floyd his fights are actually entertaining.

Bad news for HBO because Broner's boss is Golden Boy and is dealing with Showtime now.

Klitschkos pull in over 12 million viewers in Germany for their fights, and sell out stadiums of 50k people. ****, fights like Sturm vs Macklin draw over 4 million TV viewers in Germany and sell out 18k seat arenas.

Tyson Fury gets 1.5 million viewers on UK TV where there are less TV sets than there are HBO subscribers.

Those numbers really aren't that impressive considering he's supposed to be the next star of boxing. Just doesn't seem to be the appetite for boxing in America that there is in Europe. Seems as though it's mainly the casinos that keep the money coming in.

I watch all of Floyd's fights. I appreciate him for how good and skilled he is, but I know the fight won't be that exciting. Same with Wlad Klitschko too.

As far as pure entertainment, I love guys like Broner, Vitali Klitschko, and Hamad. They are really good, but really entertaining too.
