Well he will fight Canelo provided Canelo gets past Trout. He wont fight Trout because NO AL Haymon fighters have ever faced each other in the ring as of yet. Martinez is a middleweight and hasnt fought at 154lbs in almost 4 years.

The better question should be "Will Canelo ever move up in weight to challenge himself & Will Martinez ever move up to challenge 168lbers? Martinez just went a full 12 with a 180lb JCC jr and you want Floyd to fight this guy in what would be his 6th weight class, yet Martinez has only moved up to 3?

Tarver is his only cruiserweight. Russell is his only featherweight.

Right now he could make Adrien Broner vs. Omar Figueroa @ 135, Josesito Lopez vs. Danny Garcia @ 140, Devon Alexander vs. Andre Berto (or either vs. Floyd Mayweather) @ 147, Austin Trout vs. Erislandy Lara @ 154, Quillin vs. Love @ 160, or Arreola vs. Mitchell @ 200+. I suppose maybe Sakio Bika vs. Jermain Taylor at 168.

Many of those are unrealistic for reasons completely unrelated to Haymon's commonality between the participants. For instance, Love is nowhere close to accomplished enough yet for a crack at Kid Chocolate. Likewise Figueroa shouldn't be thrown in with Broner any time soon. Josesito getting a title shot coming directly off a loss? Mitchell thrown in with Arreola (who's got bigger fish to fry with an upcoming final eliminator) right after Banks kayoed him?

 

but the fact is in 10 years it hasnt happened and he has multiple fighters from 140-154...he does not put his fighters in with each other.

 

In that 10 years how many viable match-ups were there between guys at roughly the same level in their careers, where one wasn't coming off a loss or in talks for a title shot or something?

How many realistic chances have there been to pit two of his clients against each other? Maybe half a dozen in a decade? A dozen, even? That isn't a lot, to be making it out as though it's something they've gone out of their way to not do.

 

Dude why are you trying to argue against a FACT? No matter how you try to define the truth to fit your agenda, you simply cant. Fact is Haymon has had tons of fighters over the past decade in the same weight class and they have never been in the ring. Coincidence?

 

I don't believe he'd fight Sergio, on current form.
