Exactly. Pretty ridiculous to imagine him winning in modern rules.

Pre-modern, though...I don't think modern fighters would know what to do

He might need a trampoline, though.

I researched him when I first commented...I totally misread his height, just started reading accounts of him

He sounded like a badass, and I read 5 '11". He's 5 '1". Yeah. I'd take care of that. Possibly in 30 seconds. Wlad would do him dirty. This fight wouldn't be sanctioned.

I'll own it, I goofed. But I learned something. Next time, I'll boxrec and wikipedia the guy, haha.

Wlad never fought a puncher like Barbados.
There's a reason he doesn't fight Ward and lets Ward claim he is the best fighter in the world right now.

Have you never watched Star Wars old time midgets > modern robots.

That tears it, I need to get up to date pre 1950. My knowledge outside the big three weight classes gets woefully inadequate as we back up in time.

Aid me. Which books should I read?

Adam Pollacks books are fantastic. EDIT: Of course you know about the older heavyweights anyway.

    Pfft. Ugh. Dunno'.

Joe Choynski while outweighting Walcott by 16 pounds got floored 5 times in the first round.
The fight got stopped in the 7th round.

A year later Choynski put Jack Johnson totally out.

That's probably proof enough what kind of fighter Walcott was, for Dinovelvet.

And you'd know that because you spend your excistance googleing boxing, than come here to post said google'd knowledge for acceptance amongst strangers you never met..... I prefer follow current boxing and the classic era where actual footage exsits so i can make up my own judgement.

I think I got brain cancer from trying to read that. But please do inform us on why Walcott (the wrong one) knocks out Wlad, even though it's clear you don't know **** about boxing history.

Tell the forum what you know about a fighter from the 1800s and why you like him even though you never watched the fellow fight.. Go ahead. Im timing you.

You know its possible to enjoy boxing other than watching boxing. Hence biographies and books about fights.
