MAYWEATHER will fight PAST his PRIME, he'll fight more than 6 times

    I see the discussion with the 6 fight deal and how some think he won't even fight 6 more times. THING IS THIS, Mayweather comes to the sport to get paid and once the money gets LOW, he comes back. He started treating this sport as a year to year check. Due to his lifestyle and how much he spends, he will be one of those cases where he'll find on after his prime to keep up the lifestyle.

    Do you AGREE or DISAGREE? Or at least see it as a strong possibility?

    Also, SHOWTIME made sure they'd at least get the broadcasting rights to that first loss on their network with that 6 fight deal.

    He hasn't been in his prime for years. And he won't fight 6 more times.

    He likes to have a flashy lifestyle and boxing is his way of keeping that up. So I mean, Mayweather looks like perfect example of a fighter who will continue to fight for the wrong reasons.

    And Mayweather is still on his prime even though he has started declining.

    He's not in his prime now.. Just no.

    I highly doubt he's fighting 6 more times.

    He will fight more than 6 time though not at the level he is at now of course.

    It's only a matter of time till a Mayweather is carried out the ring-

    It's a family tradition.

    I dont see why not, he has ATG cherry picking skills, Marquez is putting people to sleep at 39 and hes been in way more wars, Mayweather can do it.

    I completely agree. In fact, I made a thread a few years back predicting he will be fighting at 40, maybe beyond.

    IRS problems, a huge ego, his lifestyle....it all adds up to Mayweather continuing to fight.

    Mayweather is not as shopworn as *****s are trying to make him out to be

    He fights once every 18 months and when he does, he barely gets hit.

    Cotto is younger than Floyd, yet even a blind can see Cotto is way more washed up. That's because Cotto has been in true ring wars, Mayweather has not. Cotto is OLDER than Floyd in boxing years

    Floyd might be 36yo, but in boxing years he's probably still in his late twenties

    Well, you have to add to that the amazing condition he keeps himself in. I mean, there's really no reason for him to retire when he's still near prime, which I think he is, and could be for a long time yet.

    If Hopkins can fight till he is 50, Mayweather can make it to 40 IMO

    I am guessing the reason for the jump from HBO to showtime is because HBO wouldn't agree to let him fight 6 bums for a **** ton of money. He will fight the 6 times but they will not be opponents that pose any risk.
