Mayweather is likely looking at a guarantee of around $200 million for the six-fight deal. Pay-per-view revenues will push that total past $250 million. How much past $250 million depends on the quality and marketability of his opponents, as well as Mayweather staying undefeated. http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbad...ther-hits-jackpot-with-new-showtime-ppv-deal/
I sounds a lot like an NFL contract. There's the guarantee, then the rest is conditional. I doubt Mayweather fights six times over the term of the deal, but glad that boxing is in the news for being a revenue generator. Positive exposure for the boxing is a good thing. Talent scouts out looking for the next Mayweather will bring more talent to the sport. So will kids wanting to be the next Mayweather.
2 guys make that kind of money. K2 probably the only other being in that level and probably not even close. How many multimillionaire are there in boxing outside of Pac, PBF and K2s that are active? A college offensive linesmen in NFL before he sees one professional game is already a millionaire, and not just one. Some shitty mid inning reliever in baseball in some small market will earn 3 million a year for 3-7 years and have mediocre stats during that time. Boxing is dying. It is slow. But it has time to fix it. But nobody involved are really intent of protecting the sport - be it Pac, PBF, Arum, GBP or the commissions. HBO or SHO in a way is trying. ESPN and NBC also. But as long as the commission is corrupt, 2 guys makes 90% of the earnings, promoters not making the fights - it is a slow death.
:yep They say that after one generation passes, they said it after Ali than after Tyson etc, but its far from dead!!!
Floyd/His advisors are clever *******s. A 6 fight deal will take him to 49 - 0. That means he will separately re-negotiate the deal for his 50th fight.
$250million Over 2 years. $125millons a year $10400000 a month $342465 a day $14269 a hour $237 a minute
If Void is the best fighter in the world, then he should fight Vitali or Vladimir Klitschko, either would knock him out, break his bones, that is a fact. Let's see that fight, if not, then Void can't claim to be the best. Same with all the other fighters in all the weight divisions, including Ward. Ward should fight Klitschkos if he wants to claim to be the best fighter in the world. Spinks came up and beat Holmes, Holyfield, etc.
