This is not a Ward bashing thread, he is one of my favorite boxers.

    1. Boone is the only man professionally to knock Ward down. Middleweight bout.

    2. Boone fought a great match that fight and although he lost, I thought he put on a great performance overall. Great defense in that fight, and really frustrated Ward with his lateral movements and feints.

    3. Do you think Boone showed us a blueprint to finding a way to beat Ward?

SOB Ward will always have his own personal referee, his ring, gloves, his judges, his commentators, his venue. He will only fight in his home town.............

If I was a promoter, Boone is one journeyman I would not be keen to throw my hot prospect in with. Would be hilarious if he could KO Adonis again.

Darnell Boone is a good solid professional fighter. His last 20 opponents have a combined record of 256-16, which is really incredible.

It has become a good performance in hindsight.
I thought that D Boone won that fight. Ward did the chicken dance, went down and had to hold on. I thought Boone was chasing Ward round the ring landing the better shots for the last 3 rounds.
There should have been an immediate rematch in a neutral location, with neutral ref and neutral officials

It was fought in Oregon..Ward is from California and Boone is from Georgia.
    It already was neutral.

Cmon you can live in your dreams but something like that never happens in boxing. Top prospect vs journeyman and you really think there could be a rematch in a neutral location with neutral officials? :nut Cmon seriously
Can you give me one example?

Ward is half white. That should count for something in your book, right?

    I am aware of that
Havent said the first fight was not neutral, but said an immediate return in a completely neutral situation should have been held
You are right, it does not tend to happen, but I was just making a comment that a completely neutral return would have sorted the matter and given Ward a chance to show that it was just a bad night at the office

Ward got his ass handed to him by a D-level journeyman.

Ward fought like a hotshot for his career until that knockdown. He'd even gotten rocked before in his 2nd fight for fukking around.
