You've made some fair points. The other era's weren't stacked either, but look at the example I've given on the 90's.

Wlad is a good fighter, and he hasn't done anything wrong. But what has he accomplished to suggest that he would easily beat a 65 version of Ali?

Do you think he'd have beaten those all of those guys I've listed? I'm not a hater, I'm trying to be objective. I don't envisage him beating Tyson or Holmes, let alone a peak Ali up on his toes.

The Klitschkos are the two greatest heavyweights of all time. They would dominate any era.

Ali would not overcome the Klits size advantage.

Footwork and blistering hand speed would have overcome any size advantage that they'd have had.

Oh give me a break. Ali is most overrated fighter or athlete in history. He floated like a butterfly and..you kidding? That phrase, and others describing him are like his nickname (The Greatest) a bunch of hype. He was also open cheater, holding over and over, and refs let him do it. He made a lot of people rich, promoters, other fighters, and many writers too. It's reason they made him an icon.

A prime Ali beats Tyson, and if anything is Tysons worse nightmare in the ring.

Ali would dance the 1st few rounds, and evetually pop the jab and start landing straight rights efore stopping an exhausted tyson in the late rounds.

go back and watch ali fight and don't listen to this GOAT sting like a bee bull****. Tyson was far too refined and fast for Ali. The sport has evolved people!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TADbnYQJg7w ali vs liston 2. liston throws very poor reaching jabs over and over and over. he also fights as if he doesn't understand the concept of cutting off the ring.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMiSX8M3U2s ali vs ernie terrel 1967 claimed by those here to be his prime. Again opponent has shitty jab and does not fight like the ring can be cut off. fights very tall and flat footed. engages with hooks to body which is now seen as risky when moving forward without the speed advantage.

The caliber of fighters tyson KOed would have destroyed these two and their ancient (in boxing years) offense and defense.

i used to think like that.

But then i realised. Ali KO'd a prime George Foreman.

Foreman then came back in his mid 40's, fat and slow, and was able to be competetive with a prime holyfield, and also pick up a title.

Think what a prime Holyfield would have done.

The sport has evolved in some ways, but there was much more people competing in boxing back then. Therefore the ones that made it too the top were of a much higher calibre.

No where near as many people compete these days, therefore, you don't have to be anywhere near as good to make it as a professional or to become a world champ.

People forget Ali was 6'3" with 78" reach. A legit big ass HW for his time. He enjoyed weight plus height and reach advantages over almost all of his opponents.

Not quite the size difference between he and Lewis n Klitschko's as much as it is between Louis, Frazier, Tyson, Dempsey, Marciano, etc. and Lewis n Klitschko's.

as a smaller HW Tyson learned to work best on the inside. Ali didn't have experience vs a close range pressure fighter anywhere near as sharp as tyson.

    thats a rubbish argument.

Are you telling me holyfield wasn't.

And the era's your defending as being superior 90's and 00's are more rife with drugs than any other.
