Tony Thompson, during an interview with the BBC this morning called for doping to be legalised, though he insists he would never take drugs.

I think his opinion was clear.

The bad guys are doing it, but they got testing agencies in their pockets. Whereas the good guys are packing Bibles to the dressing room and praying the roided fighter their fighting don't step on thier foot and land a counter.:-(

The amount of dope I take is neglible. I inject steroids about once a month on a purely recreational basis but can boxers be trusted to be as responible as me?

I don't actually think that btw. I was simply laughing at Thompson's interview.

Although a stupid thing to say, i can see what he is trying to say but it wouldn't work, either everyone would have to take it or nobody be allowed to take it so we have a level playing field, it would be shocking to have fighters using and gaining an advantage when there are other fighters out there who would refuse to use it even if it was legal.
