  3. Im trying to find something remotely intriguing to get a bit excited about this fight. Only thing keeping me looking forward to it is just watching Rigondeaux get his azz destroyed in ugly fashion but I'd rather watch Nonito fight someone who can be competitive.

    YES and NO OF COURSE.

Rigo avoids the left all night dance and move slickly then, YES.

But if he gives Donaire a chance to land a left HOOK then the answer, NO..

Donaire has a problem with boxers who don't engage and give that chance, opening or target to work with. Much like Marquez and Pacquiao. Juan always moving back and creating distance. Donaire is going to have so much problems if RIGO slickly RUNS away and just counter punch ALL NIGHT.

To me it's the skills and intelligence that win boxing matches 90 percent of the time.

It's gonna be pretty interesting. Rigo showed susceptibility to the left hook twice in the Marroquin fight, which is Donaire's bread and butter.

On the other hand, Rigo is excellent at countering with that left-hand of his. He essentially uses his right hand exclusively to set up his left power shots to both the body and the head while his opponent is jumping in. I am very curious to see how Donaire reacts when he gets hit to the body by those shots (and he will)

this is the first time seeing highlights from this fight...is it just me or did Marroquin look 2 weight divisions bigger than Rigondeaux?

It will be a boring fight while it lasts with both guys sitting back a lot and looking for the counter. If Doniare is a little more aggressive than usual, he will get an early KO. If he shows Rigo too much respect, Nonito will still win by late KO or decision.

I think Rigo is pretty small for the weight. It was the same case when he fought Cordoba.

I normally agree that two counterpuches is a recipe for :tired, but in this case, they are both so quick and lethal, that there will be tension every second of every round. Can't blink or you may miss something.

If Donaire can land 40 percent of his power punches like they do on Compu Box then yes.

BUT i don't see this happening based on past fights that Donaire has been involved in he can't land that high percentage at all.

Look at his fight with Vasquez and Mathebula. LOL. I reckon he will get frustated and rigo might even out land him with COUNTER SHOTS or snicky leads.
